@fmf saidBut KJ also doesn't gaslight the crap out of people, or attack them for a giggle.
It's ironic that you are saying this to KellyJay about divegeester, and not to KellyJay about KellyJay... whose misanthropy about his fellow human beings is well documented... while all you have against divegeester is the personal axe you have to grind... and absolutely nothing from him about "how horrible people are" that you can cite.
"... well documented..."
Yes, divegeester going on and on, ad nauseum, in numerous threads all over this forum about how horrible people in this forum are for thoughtcrimes.
Please. There's no comparison. You attack them for these thoughtcrimes as well. Yes, I know you're his "buddy" and all, but you both, for the reasons I cite here, show far more misanthropy than does KJ. You've not left one Christian untouched in your wake, except, unexplicably, divegeester and Rajk, the two Christians here who have attacked other Christians the most. (Actually, I suppose that does explain it.)
@suzianne saidI know you mostly steer clear of conversations about spiritual matters and hardly ever start threads and I know you have your petty banter- filled message board squabbles with Rajk999 and divegeester - and I know some people don't like them, while some do - but, neither of them have uttered anything remotely as pessimistic and as misanthropic about the entire human race, here on this Sprituality Forum, as often as KellyJay has. Ironically, you are right. There's no comparison. You are like a self-centred goldfish utterly consumed by the scornful taste of the neverchanging water in your tiny, tiny aquarium.

@divegeester saidThat is exactly how you claim you view the Bible, and if you do that to the Word of God, it should clue you in it is how you treat everything and everyone else. As if it is all a popularity contest and the winner is the one who gets the most "likes or loves" when it comes to anything.
I feel thank Suzianne would like all the forums to only be filled with posters she approves of, making posts she approves of about topics she approves of.

@kellyjay saidMy OP is based on your version of the gospel and your version of Jesus. Your version of Jesus is a total failure who loses billions and billions and billions of souls due to Satan’s deception.
You accept what you want and reject what you don't want, making whatever you leave behind acceptable is all you.
It’s what YOU accept that we are discussing KellyJay.
@fmf saidI don't hate the human race, but I don't sugarcoat the crimes we have committed before a Holy God and each other either. I do point out that because of these crimes, our sins, we are under condemnation, and the wrath of God is on us. So I point to the gospel, the love of God that made a way of escape not because we can earn it or be worthy of it on our own, it was won for us in Jesus Christ.

You may think you are above such things. You have not done any wrong at all; that subjective thought is based on your views of what crimes and their proper punishment should be according to you. If everything is according to you, we have been over this before.
@divegeester saidMy opinion is meaningless as yours, but what are we basing our opinions on?

God isn't looking at numbers but righteousness; it isn't a popularity contest; God is not a respecter of persons either.
Isaiah 11
English Standard Version
There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse,
and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
He shall not judge by what his eyes see,
or decide disputes by what his ears hear,
but with righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist,
and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

@kellyjay saidAre you trying to make this personal? I am talking about the misanthropy about the human race that forms an essential part of your belief system. And suddenly you are talking about my "crimes" and the need for "proper punishment"?

@fmf saidThe whole human race (myself included), so yes, you are part of that, as is everyone else. If I were to say something specific about you alone, you could take that as purely personal, like how you have specifically directed some of your comments towards me.
