I gave you ample chance to show how your guidance is better on the big questions of life. You have nothing apparently but rocking chair scoffs at others who have guidance.

Unless I haven't yet seen some guiding wisdom posted on these questions nothing from you seems more approvable then the Bible.

I'll check again latter.
I have nothing, you have less. What a waste of a mind.

What "guidance" is it you think you are giving aside from urging people to adopt the same beliefs in supernatural things as you have?

Well, thanks at least for the honest admission on your side.

I have Jesus Christ.
You have avalanchthecat's opinion or passive skepticism with little to no serious alternative to His life, deeds and words.
I am somewhat more impressed with Jesus Christ.

So what? avalanchthecat isn't asking you to follow him.

Meanwhile, your attempts to make your beliefs seem credible can hardly ever have been done a bigger disservice than this ugly narcissistic train wreck of a thread.

It is a fact that some people will decide that they do not want Jesus to live in their hearts. This may even sound like foolish sentimental talk for Jesus, they think, is not alive or available or is not God.
What evidence is there in your behaviour and demeanor here in this community that "Jesus lives in [your] heart"?

You have Witness Lee. Only those who abides in the doctrine of Christ and keep His commandments has Jesus Christ. You by your own admission do not keep the commandments. You have nothing.

You are worse off than an atheist. Paul said your fate will be worse than if you had not known the way of righteousness, than to know it and reject it.

This thread I started to show somebody that human life is effected and infested with a someone too influential from within man's being -

This something is called "missing the mark" or sin.
The word picture of the word sin is an archer missing the target of his shooting. Try as he might to hit the target he MISSES the mark.

Sin is spoken of as a personified parasitic force.

Try to deny it as much as any of you would I KNOW that it is your experience that you "miss the mark". You sin. So do I.

Those who recoil at the thought of God coming to make home in your spirit, someone FAR FAR WORST already infests you to your destruction.

What "guidance" do you have about "the big questions of life" for people who find all your assertions and claims about supernatural beings and phenomena to be not credible? I predict you have zero "guidance". I predict that ~ despite all your misanthropic handwaving ~ you have nothing to offer them.

Notice again Paul's very wise insight into his life before and after being saved.

Before receiving Christ into his spirit:
---------------------------------------

"For what I work out, I do not acknowledge, for what I will, this I do not practice; but what I hate, this I do. (Rom. 7:15)

Now then it is no longer I that work it out but SIN that dwells in me." (v.17)

After receiving and learning to live through Christ:
------------------------------------------------------
"I am crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me;" (Gal 2:20a)

Another way he puts it is that it is not he who works but "the grace of God" with him.

"I labored more abundantly then all of them [other apostles], yet not I but the grace of God which is with me." (1 Cor. 15:11)

Not I but Christ = Not I but the grace of God which is with me.

This is far superior to "not I but sin that dwells in me."

What "guidance" do you have about "the big questions of life" ~ based on Christ's teachings ~ for people who do not believe any of the supernatural stuff you are propagating?

If the thought of Jesus living in you is repulsive you already have been Satanified. Something evil is living in your unto sin, death, and damnation.
Have you ever converted anyone to Christianity using this kind of rhetoric?

Sin is in every man born a descendent of the first man - Adam.

Even the leading disciple of Jesus was not exempt. When he uttered his opinion that Christ should not go to the cross to accomplish redemption Jesus turned on His leading disciple Peter and addressed him as Satan.

Ouch!

"And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him saying, God be merciful to You, Lord! This shall by no means happen to You!

But He turned and said to Peter, Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men." (Matt. 16:22,23)

At that moment Peter expressed the sin infesting him though it appeared so apparently pious and sympathetic to the Son of God.

"He turned and said to Peter, Get behind Me, Satan!"

Fallen man can spontaneously express Satan dwelling in him.

You've seen me write things for years.
When did you ever see me write that I desired to "convert someone to Christianity?"

I do try to help people to receive the living Person of the Son of God - Christ.

Now you and the other two prominent atheists here Ghost and avalanchethecat, why don't you put your heads together and start a thread jointly conceived by the three of you?

Explain why you all sometimes act in a way that goes against what your good conscience knows you should not do?

Let me see of the three of you can present somewhat of a unified guidance on this.

This is on a tangent, but did Jesus ever own a crystal radio set, and was he ever in touch with the Arcturians?

(answer to follow, if I remember)

On another tangent, and no disrespect intended to anyone or any beings or Being: Wouldn't some kind of Islam-lite be a more expansive, cosmo-appreciative faith for the 21st Century, for those who do believe in some kind of Cosmic Intelligence that might have a loving personality and a sense of humor?
