So it is impossible to have an objective, rational view that God exists or..?
Could you substantiate your claim that the the resurrection of Jesus “strikes out” (presume you mean supports or proves) that Christ is God?
@philokalia saidSo you accept what your denominational dogma says over what the Bible says?
The Orthodox Church endorses compatibalism, and that is what I endorse. I also believe it is the case that doing an act of free will is very difficult because we are bogged down so much by conditioning, habit, addiction, necessity, and our own feebleness.
Philokalia are you there?
Concerning Christ's resurrection and Christ's Deity I recommend comparing what Jehovah God says in Isaiah to what Christ says in Revelation.
Compare please?
Jehovah God speaking in the prophet Isaiah:
"Thus says Jehovah the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts,
I am the First and I am the Last,
And apart from Me there is no God." (Isa. 44:6)
"Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel whom I called;
I am He; I am the First, I am also the Last.
Indeed, My hand laid the foundations of the earth, and My right hand spread
out the heavens;" (Isa. 48:12,13)
Christ speaking after His resurrection in Revelation:
" . . . Do not fear; I am the First and the Last and the living One; and I became dead, and behold, I am living forever and ever; and I have the keys of death and of Hades." (Rev. 1:17b,18)
Jesus Christ is Jehovah God become a Man going through death and resurrection as THE First and THE Last. This establishes the absolute Deity of the resurrected God-man Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
