Death tolls peaked in the 20th century. And are way way down now. Is that somehow the "sign" you're looking for?
war, please not what the text states in this regard,
(Matthew 24:7-8) . . .“For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,
and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. All
these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.
Thus it is the beginning of the end.

Thus it is the beginning of the end.
Originally posted by robbie carrobieNearly 1500 bodies have been found in Pompeii and Herculaneum as a result from Vesuvius erupting in 79AD, although that is probably nowhere near the total number who died. Estimates of the total population of the two towns is anywhere from 12000 - 25000, even if we take the extremely conservative estimate at the top end of 25000 the number of bodies found represents 6% of the population who died. Contrast that figure with the Japanese earthquake and tsunami last year, 15000 comfirmed dead and 3000 still missing. Japans population was 128,057,352 at the last census so those killed in the earthquake and tsunami represents 0.000015% of the population. Says it all.
Yes i understand this, but on what basis are you willing to dispute that the potential for
damage is not now greater than its ever been? Also have we recently seen great
earthquakes? Haiti, Japan, only yesterday was there not another tsunami warning
issued for Indonesia? scale 8.5 Well then! I think we can soundly conclude that this
aspect is seeing fulfilment.

quote it for your perusal,
(1 Thessalonians 5:2-3) For you yourselves know quite well that Jehovah’s day is
coming exactly as a thief in the night. Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and
security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of
distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape.

a nice try to introduce percentage per capita, but no blue peters gold badge I
am afraid.
