No doubt, you will say that is why my Buckeyes won. But you know what, so what if you are right. I'll take what I can get. A win is a win and we are Rose Bowl Champs!!! 😀
As for being unimpressive, how about those poor Bearcats? Can anyone say "mercyrule"? Those Gators are giving them a rude introduction into the SEC. Oh well, I guess Texas is next ...[text shortened]... the list. Then again, Penn State beat LSU. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Who woulda thunk it?
Originally posted by no1marauderNah! They sucked last year too, but somehow got elevated by sportwriters because of the bowl wins. SEC is still stronger. B10 is underrated! OSU really dismantled oregon! BTW welcome back! Hope you had a happy x-mas and new year's!
Since the Pac-10 "sucks" and is "terrible" this year because of their bowl record, they must have been the strongest conference last year when their squads went 5-0 in bowls.
Originally posted by EladarThe SEC would rather pick on teams they can whip to make them look that much better. Alabama made the mistake of playing Utah last year and they made Alabama look stupid, don't look for them to make the same mistake in the future.
whodey,
Have you seen LSU play this year? They were pretty bad.
I really wish TCU had a shot at Florida. TCU should probably be the one that has a shot at Alabama. But since Bama is playing the Whorns, Roll Tide!
Incidently, I would like to congradulate, beforehand, the winner of the TCU vs. Boise State match up as the co-champion with Alabama.
Originally posted by whodeyAgain you're getting ahead of yourself, whodey. Let the game be played. Never forget Muschamp knows Saban in and out! Texas has the winningest QB in NCAAF history. McCoy is a scrapper and the Texas D is no slouch. Also don't forget they had plenty of practice against a better D in Nebraska. Never crown a co-champ before there is even a champ yet! TCU should have played Florida, not Cinci. Had they beaten Florida then they might stake a co-claim, otherwise, beating Boise St is really not much of a claim! Look at the total destruction of Cinci by Florida! TCU is much, much stronger, but got a patsy they already beat last year!

Originally posted by Traveling AgainTht indeed was one ugly game! Ole Miss looks set for next year if Snead decides to stay! Doesn't McClsuter return as well?
The Cotton Bowl was the ugliest game I've seen in awhile. OSU 7 turnovers - Mississippi 5 turnovers. Both quarterbacks looked horrible. Coaches didn't look much better.
Yuck, ugly game. Congrats(?) to Ole Miss for the victory.

Originally posted by Traveling AgainI think it is completely incorrect to look at this as a list of teams that were cheated. Strength of schedule matters and this year pre-bowl season has Texas, Alabama, TCU, Bosie and Cincinnati all undefeated. Of course if only record mattered there would have be no reason for a whole bunch of teams to play tough games such as (Florida playing Alabama) and they would be undefeated too. Especially if Alabama were to win, they would definitely have the hardest schedule of the unbeatens and they clearly would be the National Champions.
