The has to be the most successful Fijian Coup ever and they've had a few of em.. Break out the kava ... you'll need it up against SA in the qfs.

ABs slick against a robust Romania 85-8 .. I really like the standby utility back Nick Evans.. he plays half back, fullback or centres.. good kicker and ball player but most of all he's a gap finder and play maker if Mils Mulialina is injured I prefer him to Leon McDonald.

ABZ now have 46 tries in the tournement.

My predicts are lousy (so glad I don't bet money)..

originally:

QFs
W Pool B (Aus) R/Up Pool A (Eng)....QF1 28-15
W Pool C (NZ) R/Up Pool D (Fra)......QF2 36-12
W Pool A (SA) R/Up Pool B (Wal).....QF3 58-3
W Pool D (Ire) R/Up Pool C (Ita)......QF4 24-6

Semis
W QF1 (Aus) W QF2 (NZ) SF1 16-24
W QF3 (SA) W QF4 (Ire) SF2 32-16

Final
NZ v SA.... go All Blacks !! 16-12 NZ Champions 2007.

Now it's Fiji in for Wales to go down by the same score to SA.
Fiji will go home happy if it's close and they get though without teeth marks ;-)

and who knows re Arg Ireland & Sco Italy but how they could end up against each other in a QF to me is nuts.

(Half time 12-10 to Sco Exciting stuff all round... blurry eyes here off to work. viva forza Italia.... come on fellas)

The scores will still go down the same path to the SA v NZ final.

Scotland thanks to four canny penalties over came by two pts.
They now face Argentina in the qf.
Ireland were never going to get four tries and were not going to beat this Sth American team. Argentina will get demolished by SA in the semi finals.

France tonight had an easy romp against Georgia who looked happy to get a late try.

Aus should scrape through a close win against England which will leave them ready for the ABS Semi.

If NZ are on the job they should be able to blow away the hard French Cock.

I'm off to bed 6.30am and square eyes zzzzzzz.

As a South African, I'm smiling at the way things have turned out. NZ have to first get past France and then Australia before taking on SA in the final. In contrast, SA get to face Fiji and then Argentina.
I would never bet on it, but there's every chance that the ABs won't even make the final.

If SA play as loose as they did tonight, we might not even get past Argentina.

Good for you but stupid for rugby really isn't it...

BUT WAIT THERE"S MORE.....

The major host nation France is likely to get knocked out in the qfs

in Cardiff... Is this the IRB's fault of some back room Lordly Sub-Committee.

Graeme Henry (NZ coach) has been planning his whole 30 man team strategy with this side of the draw in mind. He acknowledges that there are very much 30 men in the abs now and there is no such thing as a playing 15.

eh?

if france get knocked out in wales its because they weren't good enough to beat Argentina and top their group in 'their' world cup.

personally i'm glad this isn't the final, less nerves and a pissed off french team. we'll see something special in Cardiff. just hope the french fans get their ass over the channel.

Congratulations to all the americans for your teams's performance against the boks last night. The Us team knew they were going to lose, but they went all out and played a good basic running game. This performance was one again proof that it would be a folly to have only 16 teams compete in the next world cup.
The 2nd tier teams have realy risen to the ocation in france and had a big hand in making the world cup the spectacular event it was.

I have to agree there with you. France have allready lost, braved the storm, and now they can play their game without undue pressure. The french team on one of their good days is hell to beat, and i suspect they might just upset the apple cart for the AB's. - they have done it before.

Why so? That's the permutations. SA had the world champs in their group and France lost their opener. Tough for NZ, but not stupid.

Exactly. I don't know why some people seem to be upset because Ireland and Wales are out.
According to me, the 7 best current teams in world rugby (and England) have gone through to the quarter finals.
What's wrong with that?

although ireland played $%*($£"%$^ and didn't deserve to make the 1/4 i'm still pissed they where in a group with 2 of the top 6 teams in the world.

something has to be done about the 8 1/4 finalists from the last world cup being seeded.

can you imagine the last football world cup if that was the case?
