My opponent is now preventing me from claiming a timeout by being on vacation. While still moving, of course.
it feels like I was blitzing 5 0 and losing on time. for a month. this is not what correspondence chess should be like.
I really, really, REALLY hate this hard 60 day limit. and probably won't play one next year.

Just completed group 60. Opponent ultimately resigned both games, and I think I owe him an apology for any suggestion that his vacation behaviour wasn't genuine.
The remaining game I claimed the timeout, on the grounds that my opponent has barely been sighted for a couple of months and will make the next round anyway.
Group 36 is also complete, so does that mean we're done with round 1? Then roll on round 2, where I can get squashed like a bug!
