I've been listening to jazz/rock fusion some this weekend. Much to chagrin of some of you purists out there.

Miles set the tone with Miles/Smiles, File, Silent Way, ASgharta and of course the masterwork - Bitches Brew.

But I also have been lsitening to four of the best of this craft - Majavishnu Orch, Return to Forever, Weather Reports and yes...Jeff Beck.

Others of note include Soft Machine, Larry Coryell and Billy Cobham (check out spectrum featuring Jan Hammer and Tommy Bolin).
