@sonhouse saidI didn't get to read your link, but can you tell us some clear examples of voter suppression, and there is no need to flower up your answer and/or go personal on us. Pretend that you are a reporter on the Idaho Chronicle and reporting the facts. It will make it easy for you, and, certainly, for us.

@averagejoe1 saidHow many Black potatoes do they have in Idaho?

@AverageJoe1
Why don't you pretend you can read and actually read the link. Otherwise you are wasting our time and confirming you don't give a rats ass whether blacks can vote when and where and what party they want.
https://civilrights.org/democracy-diverted/
1600 voting places closed in 13 states. No big deal, right? So they just wait in line on a hot day for 12 hours to vote and anyone even giving a voter a bottle of water can be arrested on the spot.
I suspect you would be a bit more ticked if it was REPUBS getting the suppression but you just stick your head in the ground and ignore the issue because it doesn't affect you at all.
@sonhouse saidIn a cultural sense, USA 2022 still has isotemporal and isocultural zones, but according to our Declaration of Independence and Constitution we should be opposed to autocracy and authoritarianism -- despite those being inherent human tendencies -- no matter how those tendencies express themselves or from whatever direction.

@AverageJoe1. OK, I looked it over, don't want to appear dodging as do liberals. We all wanted your eloquent words, though. As to the ID part, anyone who registers their opinions in elections, about people and/or policies, should identify themselves. It is called ID, used in many lesser venues. The Kreature running for Ga Gov says anyone and everyone should be able to vote, no matter who they are. They tried to walk that back, like Biden's crap comments, but she believes it. If you had a vote in your subdivision about issues affecting the subdivision, like resurfacing the pool, should anyone not a member, maybe someone from Nova Scotia, vote? I see no suppression.
Sunday? There are maybe 100 other days to vote. I cant even begin to respond what the heck that is about. And since they are open about 12 hours, there is time on Sunday unless someone works around the clock, every day. I vote that we not change the rules for a few people who work around the clock. No Suppression.
Voters of color had longer wait times??? What? I'm.glad we have you to explain what the heck that means, Sonhouse. It implies white people have short(er?) wait times.... What in the heck?
I LOVE the next one. "
'Voters of color face more difficulties voting by mail, too." Did a 6th grader write this? "Too???" Oh Sonhouse..... Anyway, again, they do not tell us what the heck they are talking about. No suppression.
I am getting weary, Sonhouse, The last one says polling place consolidation suppressed turnout. How so? For who? People of Color? People not of color? Sonhouse, Sonhouse........
@kevin-eleven saidYour comment has merit, maybe Sonhouse can ratchet up a notch. And thank you for being the first liberal to intersperse "Culture', the word culture, into the forum. It has finally hit you, and maybe others as time goes on. I just listed a property with a black man. He is of the same culture I am. A delightful friend. Suzianne would brand him to be of a certain race, I guess to be viewed differently of something, I have no idea/

@averagejoe1 saidThis kind of looks like a drunken rant, so I'll just say I'm glad I don't belong to a condo association or homeowners' association, because I gather those petty politics are even more hellish than state or federal politics. 😉

Your contempt shows right through your inherent racism. You clearly don't give a rats ass if blacks vote or not, or browns or asians or elderly. You WANT whitey zombie repubs to rule forever and the HELL with democracy because MY 401K is GREAT and I LOVE Trump.
I would LOVE to see the look on your face when we in fact are in permanent rule by repubs and they admit it.
@sonhouse saidTime out, @sonhouse. Not saying I agree with your characterization of @AverageJoe1, but if we can't express our contempt and inherent racism freely, then how is the American Experiment going to work?

@kevin-eleven saidI am in such an association, and they can be a bitch with all the bickering. We need more libs to soothe feathers and say things like 'why cant we just all get along'..... 🙂 Sorry that you didn't pick up on my 'rant', it was mostly meant for Sonhouse, I am having a very hard time getting through to him. Could you jump in here?

@averagejoe1 saidFirst, you should be aware that I'm a post-Stapledonian.

Second, as a long-time resident of Mars, I must say that the Tharsis Ridge Condo Association has been polite in their dealings with me and respectful when it comes to our ancestral catacombs.
@kevin-eleven saidWell there is another Kev, my apologies. But it is not that I get y'all mixed up, I just have to balance myself with Woke, etc, Kev can come on strong, so I have a category where I gear up for his stuff. subconsciously put my wallet in a drawer when he pops up on this thing. Sorry. Are you a middle of the road guy. I have tried that, but in the last several world-turning administrations and polarities, there seems to be no middle ground. I am sorry I screwed up on personalities . I need to go back and see what you wrote to see what triggered me!!
In what sense do you believe I am a "liberal"?
@sonhouse saidYou are the only one I have seen use race in their posts about someone else.

@kevin-eleven saidAhh, a man of letters. Of the erudite. Help me work around these most peculiar people on the Forum. Frustrations abound, like Suzianne never giving us one flat out verbatim lie of Tucker, but it keeps me coming back. And Sonholuse floundering around here, he is begging to send links now, not unlike Marauder. What a oouple! Cheers
