No I do not view reality as containing sanctity.
I believe people have a right to life but a foetus is not a person, it’s something completely different and the rights that are due a person are not due to a foetus.
I do not agree with the death penalty for any reason but that’s because I do not think we should grant our governments the power to kill us, it’s not because I believe that there is an innate sanctity to life, as I’ve said I think ‘sanctity’ is a man made idea that goes hand in hand with the man made concept of god or gods.
I hope that’s clarified my position and I thank you for clarifying that your position is based on a belief in a god or gods based vision of reality.
Now we know it’s your personal religious beliefs that cause you to force a ten year old rape victim to carry the resulting foetus to term we can have a frank and honest debate about that.
