Lol wut? Electoral college weights rural votes more heavily, you know, the ones with much much lower rates of crime. If anything, eliminating the EC would make the issue of crime more relevant politically.
No it wouldn't because massive population centers are always Democrats and they don't care about crime because being tough on crime might label them a "racist" so they put up with it to feel virtuous.

The fact that you said crime was not an issue where you live and your votes won't be affected by crime stats means the Electoral College works perfectly.

Eliminate the EC and NY and California would decide every election. The EC isn't going away ever.

Have you lived in any major American cities?

You are maybe on to something here. People who live in massive population areas - where crime is more likely to be an important voting consideration - vote for democrats. Is it because they see the statistics showing that republican policies on crime don't work?

They don't trust Republicans?

No it's because cities are full of non whites that will believe anything the Democrats tell them so the Democrats get the votes. The Democrat politicians have been scamming non white votes for decades.

Also, Democrats are starting to complain about the high crime and that will affect voting next week.

The remarkable thing I think is that city folk say the same BS about rural voters. "They are voting against their own self interest and have been brainwashed by republicans".

Interesting.

Dems are complaining about crime. They are not buying the solutions offered by republicans, who despite the rhetoric have a terrible track record on the issue.

Maybe a culture with which we are unfamiliar? We are still. trying to see why bad people behave badly, A learning process in this case. We will try to incorporate these Democrats into a civil society. Did you hear that horrible person yesterday say that Mercy is another word for abortion? Then Joy Reid, MSNBC said that REPUBS have 'taught' us a new word, the word inflation. Do you have any idea how many new liberal-invented words there are? I will be so glad to kick all those people off the road.
This is what I'm talking about
Oh well, we will clean it all up in a few days. Do you think it will be a difficult long process to throw criminals in jail and keep them there?

Oops, what have I done? Watch Sonhouse tie this post into Jan 6!

Odd claim to make since it's Dem policies that got the crime wave going with their insane policies towards criminals, no bail, defund police, etc..

It's not that odd if you consider that republican states who didn't do any of those things have a 40% higher murder rates.

I know there are other variables and considerations but it isn't clear that the policies you describe are the cause of increased crime. Why would it be worse in republican-led states?

I wonder, do you fellers ever see all the videos, of criminals beating up people on the sidewalks, subways, beating up Bodega owners, car jacks, they run montages all the time, but alas, you fellers have no idea what is going on. None of the horrible criminals are white, I noticed. Anyway, your posts tell me that you are all un-advised of what the cretins are doing. You could YouTube them, I guess. If y'all recognize any of them, please call the police, even if they are your friends.

I'm not a watcher of the fear mongers so probably not. But The cretins are doing the crime more often in republican states.
