Liberals shield and camouflage the word student debt by calling it a loan, It was a loan on the date that the promissory note was dated, say. 6/2/17. The next day, this erstwhile student woke up in debt, which he voluntary made on himself.
So it is a debt. A credit card balance is a debt as well. MB is back in my humble good graces. I feel that in the end I will bring you all around.
Yes and debts get forgiven or reduced by lenders every day.

So what's your point?

Why should I pay for the police to protect YOUR property, why should I pay more tax than I need to so as to subsidise the super rich and low corporation tax?
In case you haven’t figured it out yet Joe that’s how capitalism works, I pay for the infrastructure that corporations use to make your fat dividend payment and you pay for my abortion if your corporation is not laying ...[text shortened]... e I cannot work due to parental responsibilities.
You really don’t understand capitalism do ya Joe?
Your first sentence is a wash, and simple minded. We all pay for the police. So, I pay for the police to protect YOUR property. Whew.
"Pay more than than I need to (?) so as to subsidize the super rich and low corporation tax". I don't know what this means. If you are paying a tax that our legislators (repub and dem) have levied, we are all in the same boat. Those rich people (whom you write about 24/7, got a cobb up your backside) pay more than we do. 50% of the populace pay no tax. Are you new to the Forum? Geez.

We ALL pay for the infrastructure (see first sentence above.). I pay for the infrastructure that you use to drive to the park for Frisbee. Also, for when you go to a job to make some money to get you through the week. Some use that same infrastructure to go to a job to work their ass off to get rich while you and Shav are playing Frisbee, and in Shav's case, getting about 2 months vacation every year, which he brags about.
Your last point , it REEKS of failure of personal responsibility, where you want the govvveeerrnnnnnnmment to help you out. Pay for an abortion where you changed your mind? That is OUR problem?? Corp not paying you enough? Get another job, so you can buy medical insurance, it is sold by 1000 companies everyday. Parental responsiblites...did you not plan for how many children you could afford? That is OUR problem?

What has all of your problems got to do with capitalism, and just how much govt do you want in your (our) lives. Marauder actually said last year that the govt should provide a safety net. He didn't explain what that would entail, but it seems he is getting it done, Did you see where the gveeennnmment is going to pay of debts of some of our citizens. I kid you not. Since I worked harder than those citizens did, they will not pay off my debts. Yeah, I know what capitalism is NOT, Kev.

Wow, Mr obvious. College is too expensive, no shyte sherlock. And how do you suggest we go about cutting the cost of education here in the US? Seems like it is institutionally deep now, like a dude in a barrel over Niagra.
We are not talking about a trillion dollars a year for that but you make it sound like it is busting the budget. It turns out smarter fol ...[text shortened]... do about it, so why not just go on to the NEXT conspiracy theory, eh. That is your real joy in life.
OK, Sonhouse, I'll bite. A real answer, too. Instead of using the $500,000,000 (Five Hundred Billion Dollars) to pay off the debt that has been incurred by losers with poor planning, tell them to kiss off, get jobs, and pay their debt, like you do.
THEN, THEN, Biden takes all that money and uses it to offset the cost of tuition for future students. One proviso, though,,,,,,I would be on the board to see who gets the tuition breaks. I am good at spotting parasitic lazy people, so I would have to see a twinkle in the eye of each applicant. And the curriculum would be for real, no studying the mating habits of fish or whatever.
We all know college is not for everybody, so when their grades weed them out, they can't hack it, we expel them, so the money is not wasted.

Funny, but think, my little idea is extremely logical....but they do not know logic. It is a good plan.

Is there an extant purely capitalist society? What do hospitals, schools, the fire department, the police, military, etc represent? The fact is that capitalism, because of its proclivity to concentrate wealth in a few hands, could not survive in a society without wealth redistribution.

You already have wealth redistribution. You are really only arguing about how the wealth redistribution should be done.

My point is that you liberals place no stock in personal responsibility and lean on the government to save your assses at every turn, and it makes a lot of people sick to our stomachs, we would just like for you to leave us alone and keep your and Joe’s hands out of our pockets.
You should be ashamed. You promote all that, and cannot even define the principle mantra of your dogma, ‘fair share’. Really sucks.

If that was the worse thing Biden did, it would be a thousand times less dangerous to the US than ANYTHING Trump did in his four filthy years in so-called office.

Tell me, was this tactic given to you by your Russian boss Putin? You have the imagination of a fruit fly so you didn't come up with this alone.
Who in your dark network sent you that?

Pure capitalism does not exist so stop saying wealth distribution is a bad thing. Wealth distribution is a necessity.

Try this analogy. The flight attendant says to put your oxygen mask on first, even ahead of the 5 year old's mask. I bet you figured that out when you heard it the first time. Right, it is important to keep the strong, the doers, healthy first, rather than all of us dying.
damn you're funny

this is why i come here. for the hilariously stupid crap you say.

that recomendation is for an emergency. As in "do this or you die in the next minute".

In an economic system (and yours in particular) are the wealthy in danger of dying? Will they die if their taxes increase by 1%? (or in the case of some corporations, pay any non-zero amount of taxes).

Meanwhile the poor ARE dying. To use your analogy, the wealthy put on the oxygen mask during Reagan and 30 years after the kid still doesn't get any.

What if I don’t have any property halfwit, your such a pig person you think you can decide what you will and won’t pay for whilst everyone else must pay for your freebies. There are private security companies out there, stand on your own two feet pay them to protect your property.

So, if my nephew, in 2020, borrowed to buy a piece of land and build an Acme Storage Unit , with 200 bays, and it was a great success, 'capitalism'; concentrated wealth into his hands.

I think that that is what you said?
