@averagejoe1 said"As to my coming there for med treatment, as a matter of fact, my friend's wife got appendicitis in one of those less than average countries, neither the physician, nor his nurse wore rubber gloves."
I seriously wonder how Somalia calls our military grotesque, when it may very well save your ass, home and bicycle, given all the smoke that you have to smell everyday. Don't get you there.
As to my coming there for med treatment, as a matter of fact, my friend's wife got appendicitis in one of those less than average countries, neither the physician, nor his nurse wo ...[text shortened]... it to your local Farmacia today. Tell us all how much greater Romania is in that category again.....
I am very sorry for your made up friend, his made up wife and the experience these fictional characters had in that fictional country. If only healthcare was privatized in that country that wasn't mentioned, the doctors (also fictional) would have performed surgery with gloves
" My cousin has cured his skin problem with a drug called Dupixent. Invented in the USA. Maybe a USA truck is delivering a box of it to your local Farmacia today."
Funny you should mention Dupixent. It just so happens to be delivered here and it is 100% compensated. So in case your dumb ass doesn't comprehend how this makes my point, not yours, this drug was developed in your country, by a drug company that most likely received government help in whatever form (tax cuts, federal contracts, research grants, access to university resources whatever). That means that YOUR tax money helped develop this drug and I and fellow Romanians can get it for free, paid for by our taxes.
Instead of you getting pissed that something you paid for is being sold back to you at a huge markup, you get oddly cocky that the ones ripping you off are Americans and you praise the system that made it all possible.
You dumb bastard.
and I and fellow Romanians can get it for free, paid for by our taxes.Zahloonys is dribbling the ball, he's approaching the goal box, he lines it up, he shoots, he scores...
...oh dear, it's an own goal, hahha, what an ijit. You pay for it alright, you pay for it after you're money has been filtered through a bunch goobermint buratcracies all taking their cut, you pay some big Pharma mega corporation who are in bed with their goobermint buddies all performing disgusting immoral acts on each other.
@averagejoe1 saidOf course.
The truth, please? Everyone is reading.
If you lived in Texas, would you go to Mexico for medical treatment?
Where do you think Mexican doctors learn medicine, in a back alley. They are just as good as american doctors and they don't have to deal with insurance companies pushing overpriced drugs.
Is it possible american exceptionalism has so much addled your brain that you think the US is the only one who has good doctors? Can you genuinely be this stupid? Everytime i read something of yours i keep telling myself, nah, this must be trolling he can't be this dumb. So i will insult him a bit, point out his obvious lies/ignorance/logical fallacies and that will be a way to pass the time. But if you genuinely are this stupid, it's a bit mean to keep picking on you.
@zahlanzi saidAbsent everything else if zahlooney had a life threatening condition and a choice between Mexico and the US for his treatment, well, we all know the answer.
Of course.

What drives up the price of drugs? All zahlooneys favorite goobermint buratcracies, the FDA for one.
Check out "Dallas Buyers Club" for Mexico versus US, Who the real enemies are, the state worsipers like zahlooney.
@Wajoma
I can tell you of one story about American docs, my wife has a bulging disc and has already had two fusions in her back but they refuse to actually do the operation that will fix the disc like what happened to me, I fell on ice at work and was in hospital and under the knife the same day and have had no problems in my back ever since.
But that was 20 odd years ago and now the political situation with medical care they are afraid more of litigation than actually helping someone in dire pain 24/7, they keep saying get an epidural, three times now, no help, ok lets do a nerve block instead, also no help so tell me again just how great American medicine is compared to say Europe.
@sonhouse saidYou just gave a great example of goobermint interference being the problem, the litigation industry. I live in a country with state healthcare, you're wife would go on a waiting list and then be tortured into paying private healthcare.

Need a new knee? we'll give you a 'free' (ask zahlooney what free means haha)) op, 2 or 3 year waiting list, just put up with the pain for a couple of years and we'll get right to it. You might get bumped down the list a few times just to really destroy your hope, or...you can go private and we can cross another annoyance of our waiting list and preach to the gullible how great we're doing.
@averagejoe1 saidYou mean, established to let 0.001% of the people control the other 99.999% - and it's succeeding in that.
Asked you first, It seems your friends say that a democracy is a society where everyone has one equal vote. (mob). We have the Electoral College in the United States, established to keep 51% of the people in the county from controlling the other 49%.
You're being bought and sold, Joe. Even someone as self-proclaimed rich as you has no say whatsoever in what the actually extremely filthy rich do to buy and sell half the Democratic Party and all, but all, of the Republican Party.
No, the USA is not a democracy. And that's not because "iT's A rEpUbLiC, mOrAn!!!NoT a DeMoNcRaCy!!@", but because it's a plutocracy, always has been, always will.
@zahlanzi saidSorry referenced Somalia rather than Romania in my post. Mind-skew.

One would hardly make up facts on an anonymous post. The country was Italy, no gloves, appendicitis. Oh, and they were smoking. IYou want me to give you her name? Relax, man. True story.
Your comments about how research is paid for, etc, prob the stuff of another thread, but the stuff of this thread is to compare the production of my country to your country. What products of yours are used here? and vice versa? Are you cranking out a lot of inventions?, Our people are on everything 24/7.
Yes, we do have subsidies for people who make life saving drugs and Dupixent for you to enjoy. Our liberals,, though, on this forum, absolutely HATE our government giving tax breaks and funding to these geniuses who, like you say, deliver our stuff all over the world. Why do you find fault with that. Don't get you there.
As to drug companies ripping us off, I don't much fault corporations for making money,,,,,I am sure it would be 'free' in Romania . You are aware about the consequences of free, I assume? It aint free, old feller.
You never answered me...., if you live in Texas would you go to Mexico for medical care, maybe take some latex gloves to hand to the physician? Why don't libs answer questions?
@zahlanzi saidMex docs better than USA doctors. Holy smokes. But anyway, if yo lived in Texas, would you go there for med care? Honestly, or say some stuff like trolling or lying or you dont get sick.....
Of course.
Where do you think Mexican doctors learn medicine, in a back alley. They are just as good as american doctors and they don't have to deal with insurance companies pushing overpriced drugs.
@averagejoe1 saidYou shouldn't read so much Dan Brown, Joe. Italy is no more a Guatemala-level hell hole than Seville. At least make your lies a bit believable.

We do, Joe, but only honest ones. (And no, adding "Honest question!!!!!!!!" doesn't make your questions honest.)
@shallow-blue saidYour anger is showing, I assume from my getting to close to truth. And I don't know what kind of hole in Italy you refer to.....but I quite assure you, this physician did not wear gloves. You decide.

If you fellers do answer questions as you imply, why can't you or Zahlanzi answer this one? I have to get to church!!
If you lived in Texas, would you go to Mexico for med care?
And Americans already do this, you're not special for coming up with it. Texans and others cross the border into mexico for medicine and dental work. The ones up north go into Canada for insulin, which, bears repeating, your fellow republican ghouls voted against in congress. So Zahlanzi says if he lives in TX, that he would drive over to Mexico for medical treatment. I don't believe Zhalanzi. Do y'all? His creds are winnowing . It's OK to respond as he has if he is a disingenuous liberal. I think we can safely say that if he lived in TX, that he would stay in Tx.
He also casually says the repubs voted against insulin, for god sake,,,,,,after just saying that I, AvJoe, am trolling!!!! Easy man, it is not even Halloween yet.
@averagejoe1 saidI have decided. I don't believe a word of it.

I bet I already know what the sermon will not be about: Matthew 6:19-24.
If you lived in Texas, would you go to Mexico for med care?
No, only honest questions.
As usually with you - and most Republicans - the question is dishonest, and the only real answer is "neither of those options is realistic". You make a habit of putting up ridiculous black-or-white situations where neither option is reasonable, and then getting "frustrated" that we "leftie fellers" refuse to pick between stupidity and idiocy. It's not honest, Joe. It's not a Christian practice.
@shallow-blue saidI did not say I was asking an honest question....you libs get so excited, and you read things that suit you into comments of us Conservatives. I asked him to answer it honestly. It's OK, I am not upset.
