You've got to be kidding! Since you like to link articles so much here is one for you about 2 Danish soldiers being killed in a battle with the Taliban and you're on here telling this Dane that they're not our allies. Exactly what the hell is wrong with you?

You know, you are a true friend to the relatively few Europeans that really do hate us. You give them someone to point at and say to their fellow Europeans "Look, see I told you they're a bunch of arrogant jerks."

And furthermore don't give the Danes of all people crap about the Muslims. They took more crap from radical Islam over a bunch of stupid cartoons. I don't know about you but when I heard that story I went out and bought a six pack of Carlsberg and some blue cheese.

Of course there is backlash at the European economy. The European and American financial houses and banks are so entwined that it would have been moronic to consider anything else. And a lot of banks will be in trouble. The difference is that we can afford to help them. Our politicians are already doing it. Can you say the same?

And just to be clear we'll get no satisfaction in seeing America go bankrupt. We are that enlightened.

I don't care what the Europeans think of us, nor do I want the next president of the United States to worry about what the Europeans think of us. I just want him to do his job which is to protect our citizens and our interests and get out of the way so that we can have jobs to go to and so we can make our own decisions about what's best for us and our families.

This is a good summary of the W. Bush foreign policy. It has worked so well!

My comment to you has nothing to do with worrying about what they think of us but mainly a reply to your statement that they are not our allies. This is patently false as evidenced by the fact that some of them have shed blood next to our troops in a war that they probably wanted nothing to do with in the first place. It just so happens that we can accomplish the goals that you mention without actually alienating the people that are in fact our allies.

Furthermore I think it is insulting and honestly disgraceful to say to a citizen of another nation who's troops have fought in battle next to ours that they are not our allies. You really don't see anything wrong with that?

Of course we can give the money to the banks -- we have the largest economy in the world. But we shouldn't because then the U.S. would resemble France, where the government controls too much of the economy, taxes and unemployment are high, there are too many barriers to hiring and firing employees, economic growth is anemic, and too many minorities and immigrants are shut out of the economy.

Building the American Wall?
And how is an American President able to do his job protecting the citizens and maintaining jobs without Europe and dare I say the rest of the world? Have you ever been outside your hometown?

I live in a metropolitan area of over 5 million. I've traveled throughout the United States and even been to the Caribbean and Venezuela. Next year I plan on going to Buenos Aires.

Of course you can. But the result will leave you with a debt of 70% of your GDP and an annual 7% debt increase. Not exactly what you call healthy.

How's the unemployment in the US at the moment? Are you really happy about the American integration of minorities and immigrants? Do you really think the state and the Fed doesn't control you economy?

And just to be clear Europe is a very diverse region.
