Listen Mr BigMouthProblem.. the issue is your disgusting greedy attitude. You are benefiting from the subscriptions paid by the honest chess-players. At the very least you can be THANKFUL and GRATEFUL, instead of acting like a low-class piece of trash.
Everyone knows that if you use forums, you ought to pay for 'em! Oh, wait, that's right, most internet forums are free. Damn, you had me all worked up there.
The 'greedy' are the ones who go around trying to buy everything, instead of enjoying what they already have, and the 'honest' also includes those who aren't afraid to say that they ain't gonna pay.

With comments like that, you lose your privelege of being thanked.

Whose whining? I just think that after a reasonable free trial, 30 days for example, those who play should pay to help support the site. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me, though it may seem unreasonable to a "Posterboy Freeloader" who evidently enjoys begging for bread.

This site got its start from non-paying members. In the beginning, everything on here was free (of course, there weren't many of the bells and whistles we have now), and the site was supported through advertising revenue. It was only after the site gained popularity and started to eat up some serious bandwidth that Russ started selling subscriptions.

*******If you like playing chess at 'Red Hot Pawn', please consider becoming a subscriber. The 'Red Hot Pawn' community depends on subscribers for its continued existence and improvement, and for the nominal subscription fee (less than 60 cents a week if paid annualy), all of the site's features will be available to you. ********
Its the MEAN, GREEDY, CHEAP, FREELOADERS like yourself that take advantage of generous people and destroy everything around them.

However BigDog needs to calm down and develop a less confrontational attitude. Non Subs have about the right amount of privileges. BigDog should be satisfied with "his bread and water" or pay up.
Moaning about his "bread and water" achieves very little apart from annoting those who do pay for the full service.
I was a non sub for 2 years before subscribing. I believe both services are good value. However during my time here I have seen non-sub privileges revoked because of the actions of a minority of non-subs who have posted or pm'd unhelpful infomation at subscribers.
