Texas is starting to reopen.

Bold prediction correct!
LMAO! Texas hasn't reopened anything yet and may not for quite some time:

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Friday announced a statewide strike force of medical and economic experts to focus on opening the state, setting early May as his target date for some private businesses while emphasizing that the evolving guidelines will be determined by "data and by doctors."

The Republican governor said he will announce plans for opening the first wave of Texas businesses on April 27, depending on whether the state has been able to contain the coronavirus, but schools will be closed for the remainder of the school year. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/17/politics/greg-abbott-texas-coronavirus/index.html

You grade yourself like the Donald does.

It remains a LMAO! Here's all the Governor is saying will be done next week:

Starting April 24, retailers who previously were considered nonessential may begin providing pickup service or home delivery for customers;
Starting Wednesday, in a bow to doctors and hospitals, restrictions on elective procedures and surgeries will be loosened. He cited biopsies for cancer as one example.
On Monday, state parks will again open their gates, though visitors will have to wear masks or face coverings and keep at least 6 feet away from other visitors who aren’t members of their families.

That hardly is what your "bold prediction" was:

Eldy: Will some states allow businesses to start up again in a week? In 2 weeks? Sometime in May?

My bold prediction...

First big state to open...Texas, within 2 weeks

They have to reopen slowly, notice Florida is reopening its beaches.

One state puts pressure on another.

Keep NY, NJ, and Massachusetts closed down. Those areas should be shut down completely and made impossible to leave.

Let the rest of the nation reopen and get on with life.

I think that is what you will find.

Once NY decides it wants to open again, it will stop enhancing its death totals with could have been covids.

Some optimistic news.

zero for people under 40, crept up to 0.2% for people 40 to 49, to 0.6% for 50-somethings, just under 2% for people in their 60s, 4.3% for those in their 70s, and 7.8% for those in their 80s, the findings showed.

Chances for death is small for all groups. Those of us 40 and under have almost no chance of death. Why be concerned for young families?

If you are a 50 something, then in a room of 200 randomly selected 50 somethings only the least healthy person in the room is likely to die.

A three week old story relying on data from China of all places.

458 people aged 0-44 have died in NYC alone from COVID. https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/imm/covid-19-deaths-confirmed-probable-daily-04192020.pdf

Confirmed and might be.

The might be makes the numbers invalid.

In your demented mind; mainly because it blows your predictions out of the water. But the method is what the CDC recommends and you continually use CDC statistics (because they are out of date and incomplete and you wish to minimize the effects of this epidemic).

No, it is because there is no proof, just a belief it could be. You can choose to believe untested cases, but such numbers are just hog wash.
