@AverageJoe1
Rather than engaging in what #1 actually wrote you make a comment as stupid as
'you want other people's stuff yes or no'.
You are clearly intellectually incapable of even understanding what he said much less give a reasoned response.
Hint: what you wrote is not a reasoned response, it is just another one of your knee jerk reactions instead of actual thought out responses.
@AverageJoe1 saidI know you want everything to be simple and clear cut but the world doesn't work like that.
Reward paper shifting? So you think that people who actually labor, moving a box from one place to another, should make more than the guy in the office, keeping records on the boxes?? What about one guy who picks up 1 box at a time, taking each of 10 boxes to a shed, as opposed to the other guy who drives a fork lift carrying 10 boxs to the shed.?
If we want to have ...[text shortened]... ving fun. I would LOVE to delve in to your next para, but can you get us settled on this one issue?
I would say the producers should get paid whatever they agree to among themselves dependent, of course, on how much the stuff in the boxes can be sold for.

@no1marauder saidThankyou for your answer. You craftily say 'the producers'.
I know you want everything to be simple and clear cut but the world doesn't work like that.

Can you be more specific. There is a company, let's say owned by you. You have a guy in the office with paperwork, responsible for these boxes full of expensive goods, well qualified. Responsible. He hired two guys a year ago working down on the floor.
All I am asking is how should they be paid for their work?

@AverageJoe1 saidI thought you were asking a philosophical question, not one based on the type of economy that exists in the US. As a Libertarian Socialist, I don't believe anyone should own a company and have unlimited power to decide what the people who actually do the work should get paid.

I was a terrible businessman, so I wouldn't know IF you are talking about a company in our system.
@no1marauder saidHold on, we are indeed speaking of the USA, not our pie in the sky librwokesiam philopsophy. Witness, this , which you wrote, the USA. YOu and I are USA, we speak of the USA. Why do you and SHouse do this crap.

n our economic system, the true producers receive only a small share of what they produce. And unfortunately, our tax system is geared to reward paper shifting and rent seeking rather than work.
So, it is "OUR" system we speak of. Come back to USA terra ferma.
That you 'do not believe*******" a person should own a company, and pay a salary that (the 2 parties agree upon) does not wash in this debate. A premise which is meaningless, as ....they do. Start another thread for liberalites.
So, please go back and answer. Note that the guy keeping records is ALSO an employee, not an owner..., I did that on purpose, but you would not be deterred, you pulled a seque that no one should own a company. Jesus christ.
Tell us how the $99 should be divided between the 3 people. Remember one is a paper pusher in a chair the others are , well ,,,,,worky worky.
Even you do not like cool analogies.
****Your belief is irrelevant this is. factual question.

@no1marauder saidYOu lost me at no hell at the border
Just because right wing propagandists tell you a bunch of BS that you gullibly accept doesn't mean I have to believe in your dark fantasy version of the world.
There is no "hell" at the border. It's a "problem" but a manageable one esp. if Republicans in Congress would stop blocking the needed measures to help manage it. Immigration itself is a good thing and immigrant ...[text shortened]... hich would wreck the economy and make this country go in the direction of a repressive police state.

@AverageJoe1 saidYou've been told a fantasy and you gullibly believe it.
YOu lost me at no hell at the border
You were lost a long time ago.

@no1marauder saidBy fantasy, Marauder who apparently has not seen news reporting of the Border, he means that the border is not a problem.
You've been told a fantasy and you gullibly believe it.
You were lost a long time ago.
He wants the open border, The influx into NYC hotels. oh, murders and rape, fentanyl. Stench. Free credit cards. Bus ride to state of your choice.
He says nothing like this is happening.
So, follow along with Marauder, or follow along with the news.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou suck at analogies.

If I got paid $33 a day, I would quit and find a real job.
I made way more than that on tips alone as a waitress while I was in school.
176d
@Suzianne saidI used $99 so you would not have a problem with the arithmetic. Could have said $999, so there would still be 3 thirds. In a liberal-perfect world, the answer would be $333 for each person. The paper pusher, the lift driver, and the bag toter. But wait, Maruader et al would say the bag toter should make the most money, because he is laboring the most.
You suck at analogies.

So, now this should put you back on track. Tell us how you would split the $999.
I apologize for the measly $33, I would not work for that either. If you do not like the $999, insert $9999. Same result.
@AverageJoe1 saidMaybe you could try to read his post again.
Sue, could you get Marauder to elaborate on his 'no person should own a business' theory.??
It's less about 'owning a business' and more about a boss having 'unlimited power to decide what the people who actually do the work should get paid.'
I also believe that workers should own the means of production.

I'm not getting into some non-productive argument about the details.

@Suzianne saidWhat a surprise.'

So, anyone, if three people work at my company, one keeps notes on the number of sacks on the floor, in a chair, and one hauls sacks around, and another uses a fork lift for moving sacks, how should I, as an owner of the company, divide up the money budgeted for those 3 men at the end of the day Lets say the budget is $666, or it could be $999. Obviously you see, as certainly Snezan did, it is a number that can be divide into thirds, but parcel it any way you see fit.
Another poster once said that they should all be paid equally, that is why I put in a number divisible by 3. Another said that the one who works harder, the lifter, should be paid the most. The office guy keeping notes is a financial college grad, the others only got through the 11th grade.
