How is it possible that someone in prison can run for president, but that prisoners aren’t allowed to vote?

A fun joust, I did chuckle.\.
Hey, do you libs know that regarding Stormy Daniels, that Trump committed no crime?
Anyway, tomorrow will be huge (like their nasty DA is huge...love his little manicured beard. People who do that are gay somewhere in their psyche). The fabrications will be great fodder. As the days wear on, the DA creature will have to fold ...[text shortened]... lk Hero (Trump) emerges, and the populace will hate the DA. 80% of New Yorkers voted against Trump!
Maybe you're right but Cohen went to prison for years for crimes committed when he was employed by trump. His crime was tax evasion, campaign contributions violations.

Trump signed the checks. If Cohen was guilty, why isn't trump? If Cohen was innocent, someone owes him a big apology.

John Edwards, a demon rat, was indicted for something similar.

States decide whether or not to let convicts vote, or run in local elections; they can't decide whether to let them hold a federal elected office.

Don't know for sure but I assume it has to do with fear of using imprisonment as a weapon; political prisoners stripped of right to run for office due to trumped-up charges.

Yeah, it does sound like an oxymoron of sorts, but I think that the thinking is that the scramble to change the election rules, just before the election, was a legal process technically speaking, but it obvious intent, which succeeded, was a bit questionable.
Did it not change what might have been another outcome ?
In what way did legal changes to the electoral process result in a stolen election?
Do you mean they made it easier for people to rid themselves of the retarded corrupt potus that occupied the White House
Was there too many of the wrong culture voting joe 🥲

My best answer is to refer you to this simple article

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/georgia-voting-law-9-facts/

If you look it over, you will see that it was a legal law. Then, see how it affected the Georgia outcome.

I think there are no studies of distinguishing cultures in the realm of voting........it is a secret process!!!! Sonhouse, with his 'No ID!!" stance, will make it where we don't know anything at all about who votes in elections. Man.........I mean.......
I mean to be funny, of course ,but.....think about it.

I think the only reason Trump is facing an indictment is because Cohen will testify to intent. Had Hillary's lawyer been interrogated by Mueller for funneling money to the Steele dossier the same way Hillary would have her lawyer testifying to intent against her to save his own butt.

That Steele dossier seems to have led to all of this. It is the source to a lot of Trump's problems. Lawfare can really screw with a guy.

Cohen a pathological .liar, look him up. Lied to Congress, convicted.
Do you think anyone would believe anything he says. I'm thinking no one here, except maybe Sonhouse, would believe this horrible human.
So watch him get laughed back to the prison, and Trump walks.
All of this is going to hugely benefit Trump popularity.

He lied on behalf of Trump.
Are you talking about the Moscow real estate project that Trump and his company pursued at the same time he was securing the GOP nomination in 2016?

I’m not aware of that story, sorry. Cohen will be trumped big time when a reputable lawyer of Trump will happily tell a panel about the real Cohen. With no evidence, They lose. Trump wins . Then, he wins again.
I don’t pretend to remember the Moscow Project, I’m up in years and only do selective reading, and follow today’s news.

Cohen defended Trump and suffered for it. It seems to me Cohen didn't think Trump appreciated his loyalty and doubted Trump would pardon him.

He says Tuesday. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-claims-his-arrest-is-imminent-and-calls-for-protests-echoing-jan-6/ar-AA18N5o9?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=d7fa2596137f4496d47e30b7656ab869&ei=16

But there's still a Grand Jury witness to give testimony, so that seems unlikely.

I'll put my (fake) money on March 30 which has already had the following important event ...[text shortened]... 0March%20by,1961%20-%20The%20U.S.%20Peace%20Corps%20was%20founded.

OK, who's in and give reasons.
Trump scores again, he's even got No1 helping with promotion and fund raising.

I don’t need to read it if you’re saying that your guy lost because more people voted than otherwise would then that is exactly how democracy is supposed to work.
The danger that republicans and their party pose is that they do not agree that democracy is enhanced by a bigger turn out in the ballot.

What has this got to do with the elements of the law which Sonhouse is going absolutley nuts about? Don't spoil a nice thread, I am trying to work with Sonhouse, bring him along, don't you know ........

I think sometimes that you are writing to yourself, as does Sonhouse!
