@sh76 saidYou mean "Photo ID when you vote".
This is a good example of correlation not equaling causation.
States that are more liberal are both less likely to require voter ID and more likely to vote Dem, but it seems very unlikely that voter ID made the difference in any state Kamala won. The polls had her up pretty big in every state that she won.
All States have some sort of voter ID. When you voted, did they do the same procedure I outlined above when I did? If so, they verified your identity.

@sh76 saidGood theoretical argument. I have no idea if that's true.

But even if it is true, cheating could still be going on. we have to stop it

@no1marauder saidyou claim ny requires voter id then go on to prove how you voted without id
I'll tell you exactly how I voted this year and you tell me how it's amenable to "cheating".
My voting place was moved about two miles down the road so I decided to early vote at another location. I went there on a Saturday morning and walked up to a table with the election officials, one Democrat and one Republican. One asked me my name and I told them and although it ...[text shortened]... d it properly. I then left and got a coffee and a donut from the Cumberland Farms across the street.
you just cant make this shyt up 😂

@no1marauder saidin your example could ANYONE go to vote and claim they were you and vote for you?

@Mott-The-Hoople saidI was IDed ......... by my signature. That's actually probably a better way to ID someone than a photo.

based on what?

@Mott-The-Hoople saidSure, if they knew exactly where I lived and could match my signature.
in your example could ANYONE go to vote and claim they were you and vote for you?
How likely is that?
@no1marauder saidwhy are democrats fighting this so hard. why.
Stopping things that hardly exist is really hard.
for federal elections, the rules should be the same for all states. show your ID. It's not that hard, No1.
I'm convinced that people that agree with you care far more for the democratic party than they do America

@no1marauder saidare you suggesting poll workers compare signatures of each voter?
Sure, if they knew exactly where I lived and could match my signature.
How likely is that?

@Mott-The-Hoople saidThey do in New York which is the 4th most populous State.
are you suggesting poll workers compare signatures of each voter?
@Earl-of-Trumps said"Liberal" groups oppose it because a fair number of eligible voters don't have photo IDs and right wingers refuse to support providing every eligible voter with one free of charge.

I haven't been asked to show an ID for any purpose for years. The whole thing is just a scam to disenfranchise a group of voters who you guys think vote the wrong way.
@no1marauder saidYes, some type of Official State ID, something not made in Bob's ID shop for voter fraud dot com.
No. And neither does anybody in most States. Even in those States that require a photo ID, it's some other document like a driver's license not an actual "Voter ID".
But your signature is checked against a pre-existing record of your previous voting (not who you voted for obviously, but the time and date of your voting where you were required to sign). That's a check on your Voter ID even if right wing clowns won't admit it.
@no1marauder saidBS you lie like a dog

a signature on a screen is nothing like one on paper
