That's dumb semantics. Labeling a person with the word 'immigrant' is tied to an event that already happened.

From a policy standpoint, states can't be responsible for deporting immigrants because the laws are federal.

If an alien is let in at the border under Biden instructions, and the alien makes his way to Wisconsin, thumbs a ride, hikes a ways, finds a dollar on the ground for a bus ticket and gets to Wisconsin, tell me where he is a Federal Problem.
You simply cannot answer this question because you now realize that it (the alien) is not a Federal Problem!!! SO< HOW can the 80 people on a bus be a federal problem???

Joe, this is an obvious concept. Immigration is federal. Travel is local. If a federal criminal travels they're still a federal criminal. Are you pretending to misunderstand?

Please clarify, and then we can discuss the issue of feds letting him in, and then turning away to do other things, their job with him completed.

So you say that the aliens in NYC entered the country illegally.....that is irrelevant since these people on the bus were welcomed in, and walked or hitchhiked or rode a bus voluntarily to NYC. . NY gives the Feds a lot of money every year. This isn't Alabama; this is a State that the country relies on for funding.

The immigration system is broken and has been broken for at least 20 years. As was clearly shown in many other threads on the topic, Trump made it a lot worse and now it's bearing down on states like New York. It's asinine that you think new York should just take of it on their own.
