The fact of the matter is SNL has an age restriction, does it not? The posts were alerted and I removed them, because of the content.

I have little respect for the persistent efforts to dumb the forums down to the lowest common denominators of 13 year olds and what is acceptable in repressive dictatorial countries.

Now, you may allow your 6 year old to watch SNL, but I don't want mine to. What do we do?
We use age restrictions placed on programs as a guide, with a generous helping of common sense and decide if we want them to see it.
The Internet is a horse of a different colour. There is so much bad crap floating around the web, it stinks like Staten Island.
I, as a parent, can filter and control what my kids can access, but now some people on a site rated 'Family' decides to post sexually explicit material - The material Kirk posted was not really offensive to me, but it was alerted for that specific reason by someone else - so I now lose some of that control.
I want that control, so that I can decide when to talk to my kids about sex etc. I don't want some old white guy pretending to be black on the net decide this for me.
