I have a few traps, some chocolate as bait, and some mouse killer.

It's not my house, i'm just helping out someone who is scared of mice.
I've just been watching David Attenborough. Rattle snakes work a treat!

I've offered my corn snake's services already, although he's never been given live food before.

I didn't read through this thread but my advice is to trap it or get a trap that actually kills and keeps the mouse.....poison is a bad idea. I once did it, and had to smell a stinky, decomposing mouse for a month as I couldn't find it.

As for it being dead regardless, you didn't quite do anything to improve its chances did you?
Yes, i provided a trap that could be used both to trap, or kill. As it is not my decision whether it lives or dies, humane was the best alternative.

Please don't kill the poor little critter. It's only known for being a carrier for some of the worst diseases known to man.

it is a bit cruel but use a sticky trap. they work very well if you place them near where the mouse has been seen and in the kitchen along the walls and in the corners.

Why do you have to kill it? Are you too lazy to come up with a better solution?
