I can't believe you just used the word 'funsies'.

I'm doing my Zach Braff smirk and giggle now.

Another question for you - with respect to the Lowest Common Denominator: Is NOTHING offensive? What is offensive to you? ...[text shortened]... g it for whatever reason they choose. Emotional or logical, it's there and she can use it.
If she didn't want to explain her reasons in the public forums, then she needn't have posted here. She can alert or Send Feedback without doing so. Why exactly should I be criticized for responding to her posts by giving my opinions of them? Once you make public comments, they are fair game.

"Conservative Right"???? ME? That's amusing.

By your rational, as long as i have a good enough fictional reason, i could change my avatar to a swastika.....and then, if anyone takes offence, i can spend a few hours explaining my reasons...each and evey time.

This is the logic of a moron.
*clap clap* once again showing your ignorance. The swastika is a religious symbol use in many eastern religions such as hinduism and Jainism among others and is WIDELY used by these religions today. Even if you attribute it to the nationalist/socialist party it is still not in and of itself antisemitic.

Good job, moron.

Ok, fair enough. Perhaps I should read more of your posts to get a fix on you. My red alert went off when you made your LCD comment. I've heard it all before.

I still don't get why you don't get that the avatar is offensive to her and why. But you're entitled to that as well.

Is this an acceptable argument? You are shown the error of your logic so you say that I fail? Maybe if you could come up with an argument that could hold some water you wouldn't have to resort to such infantile measures.

DUDE, the swastika is a symbol that provokes some of the same emotions in Jews WHEN used as the Nazi Party Symbol (like with some antisemitc organizations). I think that's what he means...he is not talking about the artistic and ancient form used in Eastern religions.

Come ON.

You're welcome to comment on anything I say. I will explain the best way I can. Up to you, if you agree with me or not. I've not in any way criticised you, for what you say to me either. Thanks 🙂

DUDE, "swastika" isn't even german. It's sanskrit. I'm sure that most intelligent Jews are aware of the fact that Hitler stole this symbol and are not offended by the symbol itself only the way some would use it, but you can't infer how somebody is using a symbol on the internet and a good course of action would be to politely inquire why a user uses that symbol as an avatar. Maybe they are Hindu?

Why should we cowtow to the ignorant? Wouldn't we be better off enlightening them?

Take your user name for example. Maybe I was ignorant and was offended by it because I thought it could be a derogatory term for native Americans. Would you rather explain to me that it isn't and why or would you rather me go whine to the admins that I don't like your user name because it offends me?

Edit: my original point was that this symbol is WIDELY used by eastern religions. Will we suppress these religions just because somebody gets offended in ignorance?

I know the swastika isn't German. I know a bit about Buddhism, so I am familiar. You assume alot, though, but I think you know better. Clearly, there are images that even intelligent people look at and have an emotional reaction to. That's what we are talking about. The basic truth about something is not always the same truth all around.

I find your reaction to Huck's post a tad over the top and more offensive than necessary. It was just too heated and superior and your point was lost.

Wow.

It is illegal to display the swastika in many countries.
