Don't be so melodramatic.
Sushill had an avatar that caused offence to someone. The fact that it was from a fictional program is neither here nor there, and harping on about it like it does is pissing against the wind. What is wrong, is constantly arguing against eflame's right to be offended. If she was offended, then someone else might be equal ...[text shortened]... k eflame should be badgered over what she should or should not be allowed to find offensive.

I believe I said, 'racist in nature' and offensive. I saw, a black man in chains. I DID NOT see Kunte Kinte. I DID NOT see a fictional character. I SAW a black man in chains. I speak for myself when I say this, because it is MY opinion/view. No one put me up to do this. I did this all on my own volition. It's apparent that the Black woman I am, I'm not alllowed to have an opinion/view, I"m considered irrational and ignorant and a troll, oh and a fool.
I saw the pic, in the forums here, last week. I will repeat that I saw a black man in chains. Last night, my time, I am told it was Kunte Kinte. I was told it was a fictional character. I was told this, AFTER, I sent feedback to the Admin, that I considered it to be racist in nature and offensive. This is from a BLACK WOMAN'S perspective and perception.
I have admitted fault, at not PM'ing Sushill, beforehand. Enough said. I have admitted fault at running to Admin, without asking Sushill beforehand what his avatar was about. Enough said. Sushill had asked me, if I send feedback to the Admin, to request it being put up again. I said No. Enough said. I have not stated anywhere, that I considered Sushill a Racist. Enough said.
If you have a problem with me, please continue in directing comments to me, and like I said last night, I will try and explain the best way I can.
Please understand, I can't be repeating myself all the time. I do come on here to play Chess you know. Thanks 🙂

Yes, I did. I edited my post.
- I repeatedly said that I don't think BWA are a bunch of racists.
- I think that many people would not recognize the actor and so would not link it to Kunta Kinte and see only a black man in chains.
- I don't find it surprising that every once in a while, somebody finds the avatar offensive because of the point above.
- Hence, I think that the avatar should have been removed or, at minimum, be changed to something that indicates it's Kunta Kinte.

You're arguing with a bunch of people who have probably never even seen a black person in real life. I bet that if we could get some black dudes on here, show them the avatar, and then tell them that these morons think that it was racist they would laugh their asses off.
Flinging the word "racist" around should never be done lightly, this is a blitheringly pathetic farce by a bunch of posturing, ill-informed leftards.

I don't consider myself irrational or hypersensitive. Just letting you know.

The fact that one "non-white" person had her panties in a knot due to her own ignorance should not be enough to have someone else's avatar removed. Perhaps someone should be kind enough to educate this person as to what racism actually is.
It wasn't a white person who alerted the avatar.
Now put your crystal ball away.
