If you had paid for the DVD (or any prize in any competition) and a petulant pup cheated in front of your nose to win it, would you not be in the least bit peeved?
Yeah he's probably cheating, but so what? If you cross paths with him, ignore him, resign, and move on.
[EDIT] He's already through to the second round in the aforementioned tournament.

If I had a clan, I wouldn't go near him or any of the clans.
Same goes for clan and league play. Most clans can and should avoid him, and any clan he's associated with, like the Plague. Pretty soon, they'll get the picture and give him the boot. What will he do then?

*EDIT* - Not that you don't raise a good point at first glance, however several other clan leaders don't tend to see it that way. Plus James is a clan leader himself.
Originally posted by darvlayYou're right, I dont' post or look here very often. I just looked through 20 pages of "James Woodley" in the tournament forum, and there wasn't anything except a bunch of bickering and notation from james' miraculous gameplay. I also check out a few of his games myself.

He's 99.9% likely a cheat, and a cheat should be treated like someone with Ebola. Avoid him. Avoid his clans and any associated clans he's with. Anybody organizing tournaments has full discretion to disallow him, just as clan leaders can avoid any of his associated clans. It's not the perfect solution, but it's the best one until something definite is done. beer

There was a tourny for non subscribers and the prize was a subscription:the guy,zach918,created a lot of accounts to have more chances to progress in rounds and win.
He was discovered and he made a public apology, then I guess he was disqualified from the tournament.
If I'm lucky enough to find quickly the thread (I saw it not many time ago) I'll post the link.
Edit:I found the link pretty quickly

if he's found cheating so be it. I'll look at all his active games. Being a left-hander, I'm sure to pick up something. I wonder how much his openings has changed, if he's picked up a move here and there from learning from poor variations, etc. we'll see.
but if he IS cheating, then 'another one bites the dust'. Hang 'em. Hang 'em high! π

I was one of the first ones to accuse JamesWoodley of cheating. Originally, every post I made and every thread I started got deleted by mods. At least a dozen posts and at least two threads. Then all of a sudden - nothing. Now the word ...[text shortened]... son, Genius. These accusations are not just accusations anymore.
EDIT: this post was made exactly one day after the one above...to the minute!

The sooner thread like this are colmpletely removed the better. I quote the Terms of Service:
"You agree to not use the Service to:
Post, email or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; "
I certainly think this thread and the other related threads break Tos with regarsds to abusive and harassing messages.

Originally posted by belgianfreakThis is rather odd timing for this post, BF, seeing how Russ just a couple of hours ago removed JamesMaster10000 from the 2005 Championship Tournament. And I wish if you have something to say you'd just say it and stop sounding like the Delphic Oracle.

Originally posted by no1marauderhey, I know nothing about what Russ is thinking other than that he is working hard on getting a functional and official system in place to spot and deal with engine use. I didn't know he'd removed JamesMaster10000 from a tourney and I don't know his reason why. Do you?

What I do know a little about is why forum mods have let accusations slide for the time being.
to rephrase what I said earlier, if it was too complicated for you: it's false to assume that just because the mods stop modding certain posts that the site admin (Russ) have changed policies or opinions towards it.
