I am here to help, because I care!
I keep getting the urge to press alert moderator to my own posts.
Well why should everyone else get all the fun?
Has anyone alerted their own post before?
Should I alert this post?
Best wishes jb
Dear Raven, a mortal enemy of mine seems
to think that the city I'm from is, and I quote:
"2 spots behind a burnt-out wreck in a miserable town"
this is not true, it is nice place, with a lovely tram
system and pleasant people where you can quite happily
say 'hello love' to other men and it not be considered
gay, nice shops and a lovely a train station.
How should I deal with this delusional little man?

Dear Really Concerned,
Nice to hear from you again, sort of.
You are worried that he will NOT get hit by a truck? Then definitely don't constrain him, in fact, encourage him to wonder out more - since apparently it is for everyone's good anyway.
Kind regards,
Raven
I sense that we are not quite on the same page on this one. I know my post must have sounded a little callous, but perhaps it would have helped if i had mentioned that the senior citizen concerned is something of a garralous booby who is off with the fairies and other mythical winged creatures.
I also have to say that, whatever treatment you prescribed for the Acute Digital Diarrhoea sufferer, it doesn't seem to be working.
Keep up the good work, you are balm on the troubled heart of GF.
Yours
Concerned (that I was downgraded from 'much love' to 'kind regards'😉:'(

As if there is something wrong with being off with fairies and other mythical winged creatures...pfft.
There is no cure. I am afraid the disease is so far gone that all we can do is pray for the courage to forgive him.
So much love I don't know where to put it,

Ignore him. You know your city is lovely and him saying something different does not change that fact. Maybe he hates his own city and is bitter about the fact that you live in such a nice one, which makes him feel compelled to attack it. Or maybe he just does not like train stations.
All the best,
Raven

Believe me, I have nothing against the little winged folk. But I think there's good 'off with the fairies' and bad 'off with the fairies', and the garrulous booby belongs firmly in the latter category. The little girl in Pan's Labyrinth would be an example of good 'off with the fairies', as would the kids in Narnia.

Many people alert their own posts. Some because they want them removed, some just for the lulz. Go ahead and alert yours if you are really that curious, it may get deleted but not much else happens.
I would not alert too many of your own posts though unless you really want them removed. I am sure the mods are busy enough without attenting to lul-alerts.
Have fun,
Raven

Please elaborate on what it means to be off with the fairies in a bad way.
Glad of your relieve,
