It cost me a while to decide on my votes, and I switched them around quite a lot before deciding on the final order. This is a great round, nice work everyone.

Thanks for keeping track of the votes, it's always good to have two people do it to assure that the results are correct (isn't it, Ragnorak? 😉 ). However, "Gypsy Girl" has 13 points and "Gypsy" only 1.
Sorry about the mistake. I have failed you. I have failed you all. I go take my life now for your honour.

Apologies if my above comments go against the not discussing photo's rules. I made the points as my voting has been influenced by apparent colour in two otherwise likeable pictures.
Andy
I have to ask as there have been comments made against some pictures whether we should discuss the pictures through out the round is anonimity really important.
Starrman didn't know about the rule.. others did but drop the comments anyway.
It wrecks every round.
can people not understand the simple rule
"no comments about any picture until the round closes"
If you don't like a pic don't vote for it but remember as rag says some quality has been lost in the size reduction and it also makes things seem as they are not.
It would be nice if people would wait til the end then ask..."gee how did you get that effect"? or I love that pic but is that colour I see at the bottom"? Much better than pointing to flaws so other will see them and maybe (you hope) follow your votes.
Originally posted by Tirau DanI don't think there has been that much commenting in this thread. Just some questions, which I think is legitimate if people feel they need more information to base their votes on. I can't imagine anyone making comments against images or try to make others change their vote, so I don't think the round is wrecked. Besides, if you want to prevent any kind of influence, we should make the voting anonymous, which would make for a rather dull thread.

By the way, I think this can be largely avoided if whatever post-processing has been done to the image is added as a comment. Most questions are about that anyway.
But let's not forget that this competition is just a nice excuse to have a chat about photographs, let's not take it too seriously.

Originally posted by Tirau DanI generally agree, but in a B&W round colour is a no no. That was the basis of my comments.

Sorry if you don't like it but I'd do it again if the photo was not appropriate for the round.
Edit... The problem I encoutered that promtped my post was that both photos I mentioned I wanted to vote for. I think they are wicked pics / effects but they didn't fit the round title.

Agreed and apologies if it appears I have done so... 🙂
David you just can't see that if you raise issues or questions during the round the photographer can't answer without breaking anonymity. Everyone would join in a friendly chat session if it weren't for the anonymity.
Casting observations, opinion and assumptions isn't fair until the round finishes.. That is why the rule was made.
Cheers
