Right I've done a count up of all the sites I visit regularly, the majority of them are donation sites[ie, you pay IF and what you can afford] I gave up counting at seventeen; so if I had to pay $29 or so at each of these it would become ridiculously expensive. What about Anti-Virus software etc, do you all pay for that or do you use free stuff?
As a ...[text shortened]... s are fairly happy with what we get.
I am, though the message situation does seem a bit daft.
How many services do you use away from the internet and how many of them are free? Do you play at a chess club? Is that free? When you go to the cinema is it free? Food, clothes, shelter - do you pay for any of those?
It beggars belief that people remain so adamant that all services on the internet should be open to all at no cost.

In answer to the above question, it is irrelevant how many services are free away from the internet, if they are free other people don't hound you for using them for free. Would you pay for a parking space if there was a free one next door? If you wanted to reserve a parking space, fair enough pay for it.
I WAS considering subscribing but now I am having second thoughts...I just don't like being pressurised into these things.

If you read the first of my two replies to your post you will see I was not putting you under any pressure to subscribe.

Zone Alarms pro firewall is no better than the basic, it has additional features but the firewall itself is the same.
