"Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings"

Disney Plus finally released an app for Windows (in the Microsoft Store) that lets people stream their content at up to 4K (1080p in my case). Previously my resolution was limited to 720p on Windows (streaming through a browser) because of their HDCP requirements.

I'll probably resub to HBO to watch the new Matrix movie in a few days.
Excellent movie.

So's Black Widow.

I watch Disney+ on my Roku box, so I've always seen their stuff at 1080p.

Anyway:

The Peanut Butter Falcon

Loved this film.
Battlebots - Nothing like a little mindless violence to put one in a good frame of mind.🙂

Here are three good ones on Shudder (also on AMC+):

Detention -- a movie based on a video game about Taiwan's White Terror from the 1950s to late 1980s. In historical context, understandable in a way, but still horrific. Good to learn about this.

Hellbender -- modern-day indie family-made punk witch horror in the woods -- well-done.

The Invitation -- creepy California dinner party with viewpoint character's ex-wife and friends with a strong hint of cult indoctrination (only halfway through, but there is something wrong going on in that house).

Haven't seen it myself, but one of my uncles says Reacher on Amazon Prime Videos gets the books right. I did like Alan Ritchson in DC Titans, so will give it a try next time I subscribe.

Dark, a German TV series. Thriller. Excellent.

my Ps & Qs, My Back.

We are watching now the Korean Series Signal.

This is very well done, and shows that you don't need action to create suspense.

I'm gonna have to scope out Reacher.

Anyone's gotta be better than Tom Cruise in the role.
