i think there is a limit how far the jokes goes. Sometimes i do think the indian and the asian jokes goes to far
Is it because this is how they really feel, are they acting out their sub-conscious thoughts, or are they just going for shock value?
Frankly, I think that it is mostly a combination of the last two. They tell themselves they are just trying to shcok but are really expressing their subconscious thoughts.
Anyway, I agree with you 100%. Forum posters would do well to keep a lid on the racism. It serves no one well.

its how we really feel.
"It IS how we feel" (my emphasis on your statement)....therein lies an implicit insinuation that you are, specifically, a racist....a person that has no compunction about belittling another individual for any reason that becomes available...and in this instance, skin colour or their nationality makes that individual "fair game".
OK, you may not give a pair of foetid dingos kidneys about what I think, which is entirely fair enough, but let me just ask you this :
Think of someone you care about....a friend, if not a loved one.
Consider them being belittled for a trait that you consider to be entirely unjust...whether they wear glasses, are obviously overweight or obviously underweight, have spots, malformed teeth....you know what it is...whatever it may be.
For the sake of understanding, please accept that the belittlement they have experienced has, on this occasion at least, been traumatic and distressing for them...or, indeed, has often been.
How do you feel about that?
How do you feel about the person(s) that upset, in such a shallow fashion, this friend you care about ?
Now tell me what separates belittlement based on skin-colour, and whatever (otherwise irrelevant) source of belittlement your friend has been obliged to endure.
I've already said that "racist jokes" are a quandary.....I cannot explain away the fact that jokes are funny, and we respond accordingly, emotionally, sometimes long before we analyse the words that present the jokes, and act accordingly, logically.
In that respect Epic, the "it's how we feel" statement may be entirely correct...hence my "qualification" remark.
But as I've also indicated, there is a marked difference between an occasional witticism, and a persistent trend....an "it's how we feel" comment suggests, very strongly, a persistent trend.
Constantly posting jokes that belittle specific "target groups" would certainly suggest the poster has an issue with them...
So who needs help?.....the poster, or the target group?
I'm helping the target group...just as you might help your friend.
To sum up my little ramble, consider these two points :
1. Would you prefer that your children grew up with the notion that anyone UNLIKE them is to be hated...even if, in consequence, they hate your above friend as a result?
2. Which concept are you, by your actions, attitude and responses, teaching them?

No, but let's define what a racist is and what a racist isn't.
