I enjoy the chess itself, I enjoy being in a clan, I enjoy being in various clubs and experiencing a variety of chat rooms, I play in chess tournaments and of course I spend a lot of my time here in the public forums which are often good fun and informative.
I find the RHP experience works for me. It’s probably the most interesting and broadly based social interface i experience on the internet. That’s quite something when you pause to think about it ~ I spend a lot of time here and very little on Facebook, virtually nothing on Instagram, I don’t have a Twitter account, nor a tic-tok account (whatever that is).
Why do you come to RHP, and how does your time and experience here compare to other Internet portals?
This site was recommended to me by a student I worked with and I’ve been here ever since. It’s a great site and I recommend it to others! I’m here on my iPad whenever I’m sat eating a meal and probably most of the day if it’s too wet to work on my garden, enjoying a few games and reading through the GF where I have my favourite posters. I’ve learned lots of things here plus new words etc and have made a few nice friends who I’ve talked to on Skype with one special one who I have met 🙂. I’d really miss the site if I couldn’t visit each day. In fact I get withdrawal symptoms if our internet is down.
Thank you for this thread, you’ve inspired me to become a regular subscriber again.
@drewnogal saidI like chatting to the people I play chess with [moreso than I do the chess itself] and I quite enjoy posting on this forum and the Spirituality Forum. I have made several firm friends as a result of being part of the RHP community.

@torunn saidmy son is a member and got me to subscribe about 15 years ago as Redbaron.
I was introduced to this site by my grandson who also played in a chess club in Gothenburg at the time. He helped me open an account here, we played a few games and then he left. It took some time before I noticed there were forums and when I did, I also found my first friend, MissOleum.
@badradger said4 of our 6 sibling family play here.

I'm here in the capacity of a moral Godfather.
