So, was this before or after that fateful Phil Collins brawl?
That's what kept him from climbing on top of me and beating me into a state of retardation. Next, I was in his FACE swearing about 20 times in a row.
I don't remember it much, but my friends were very surprised by the move.

Whoa, just one. That is pushing it for me and I've never tried a second set the same day. I used to do 15 reps of 160 twice a day, and 190 12 times was a 'dare' to myself of sorts to see what I could do. I could probably do 200 6 or so times.
This is all 3 years ago, the birth of my child got me out of the basement. I should work my push-ups to see the damage.

Congrats on the birth of your child, I know you don't get as much sleep either. ( Smart butt remark removed)

Pushups are only the upper part of the body, so unless you have a weight on the back they wouldn't help the bench much. Pullups and chinups do help overall strength though.

I consider myself more geeky than cool, more crippled than athletic. And it was a partialy a joke regarding (false) stereotypes about chess players. I wonder how you didn't notice that.

Sarchasm
1. (n.)
The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.
Go to any of the forums to see this phenomenon in action.

On a serious note, I really do not think that being chess player makes you an invalid dork automatically. I personally hate that stereotype every time when people look at me like I am some freak when I say I like to play chess.
Physicaly crippled and geeky - no
But it is still better ask this question at the fitness forum.
