Ok,so go on crying about it in forums instead of entering the tournament and kick some men asses........
Not entering the tournament is only your loss, guys could care less.
What happened to the option where the guys stopped behaving like jerks and accepted that they're not supposed to saunter into EVERYWHERE like they owned the place?
One tournament out of hundreds. That's all that's being suggested, but oh no, the guys have to make a point.
What IS the point, exactly? That exclusivity is bad so long as you personally are on the wrong side of it?
Think logically about this. This is NOT one less tournament for guys to enter. It is one MORE tournament that was created for girls. There isn't some kind of quota system that means every female-only tournament equates to a lost opportunity for guys to play.
The same is true of any other specially created tournament - for teenagers, or Christians, or the Southern Hemisphere, or whatever. It's highly likely that such tournaments arise from a specific idea, and without the idea there wouldn't have been a tournament. So all that complaints do is deprive that particular group of an EXTRA tournament they might have had the chance to enjoy - and maybe chat during with people they had something in common with.
If you're complaining about this tournament, think very carefully about every 'club' that you DO belong to that other people are excluded from. You probably don't even notice the 'club' exists, because you're in it.
Let's start with people who are wealthy enough to have internet access.
And people who had good enough educational opportunities to know how to play chess.

Well no. I've sort of lost the plot regarding that so to cut to the chase, what exactly would you have me do to expedite your withdrawl from Arrakis's 'girls only' tourney.?

Well you know what you have to do.
The whole "I was going to do x, but I won't now because someone PRESSURED me to do it" is just juvenile.
And also really, really simple to manipulate.
Up until now I thought you were a pretty smart guy. Now I'm re-evaluating.

1) I was interested in a women's only tournament to play other women, not a bunch of guys I could play in any tournament.
2) You're right, the guys couldn't care less, and that is what is pathetic.
I'll say it one more time for the ones who ride the short bus.
What is the freaking point of playing in a women's tournament that allows guys? It's no longer a women's tournament!

You will be pulling out because of the voices of reason, not the shrill (and increasingly psychotic) rantings of Skeeter.
Originally posted by dottewellUNfortunately, even if that's true, there's no way skeeter would ever believe it. I fear the BSE has finally rotted her brain away completely. If Xanthos were to go, she'd act like she was the frickin angel of all conquering action.
