What line have you got there?

I'll give you a hint. All Black's moves are forced.

come on! After the previous puzzle, the first move I looked at was of course 1.0-0-0 and it worked:

1.0-0-0 Kxa7 2.Rd8 Kxa6 3.Rd7 Kxa5 4.Rd6 Kxa4 5.Rd5 Kxa3 6.Rd4 Kxa2 7.Rd3 Ka1 8.Ka3#

nice!

here is an easy one, an Arabic puzzle from the 9th-century (yes 9th!)
white: Kg8 Re1 Rg1 Ng3 pf4
black: Kf6 Rd7 Rh7 Ng6 pf5
white gives mate in 3

and a difficult one (from Nimzowitch)
white:Ka1 Qa2 Ra6 Rh1 Nc7 pe3 pe5
black: Kg7 Rf8 Ne7 Ng8 pf7
white gives mate in 3

The easy one looks pretty familiar... almost as if we've seen it on this thread before... set up the board and take a look...

The first:

1.Nh5+ Rxh5 2.Rxg6+ Kxg6 3.Re6#

Phew, finally got the second:

1.Rg6+

1...fxg6 2.Qf7+ Rxf7 3.Ne6#
1...Kxg6 2.Qg2+ Kf5 3.Rh5#
1...Nxg6 2.Qxf7+ Kxf7 (2...Rxf7 3.Ne6# ) 3.Rh7#

lol

I still can't believe there's already a repeat entry...
Here's the original solution to the easy puzzle...
Knight sacrifice followed by rook sacrifice followed by mate...
Look familiar?

Still an interesting puzzle, though...

Correct. I am impressed, because in the second puzzle, the first move is far from obvious.

Anybody else has good ones?

πŸ˜‰ It's a nice puzzle.

I decided from the beginning that clearing away the f7 pawn for my knight to jump to e6 was a good bet. At first I was trying to make the queen sacrifice on f7 work, but as long as black didn't make the mistake of capturing with his king he had the escape square of g6. It took me a while to see that Rg6+ shifted the pawn and blocked the escape square at the same time. THEN I could satisfy my Queen sacrificial urges.

Good fun. πŸ˜€

walk the king over to protect the b6 pawn, take the f-pawn with the bishop guarding d1,when the d-pawn promotes you take with the bishop making room for the black king to capture b7,by now you're already protecting b6 with your king so K+b-pawn+bishop vs king wins.
