Thats 3 for c5.
For that person who didn't see the c5 reason.
White is thinking about playing d4 and opening up the two bishops. c5 stops d4 and like 88sO_____ and give the dark squared bishop a harder time developing.
I got 2 games left in my db. Anyone else have the same position in their db?
Thinking out loud....
Do we really need to re-inforce d4? At the moment its fairly solidly ours. I dont think d4 is an option for white. Its far more likely that pawn is heading to d3. At which point his most likely break will be e4 not d4.
Perhaps we chould consider f5 with the eventual plan being ...Nd7- f6 and possibly even a cramping e4.
So thats my vote.
F5
I'm going with 10.Nd7
I know its weird but 2 masters over 2400 played with vs 2 other master who were 2400 also. The only other game was 10...b6 which a 2300 played agaist a 2000 player.
One of the game was a typical Master draw, 12 ish move.
Here's the other one. I like the idea so I'm going to have to go with Nd7.

I think the problem with b6 is, as someone pointed out to me earlier in this thread, that we are opening the long diag. White can then play bf3 with some pressure on the knight and a pin on the a8 rook.
without analysing it im sure there are probably some tactics that would work around all of this.
