We can castle, and probably should unless there's a good reason not to.
Be7 seems fruitless, IMHO. Black most certainly castle king-side leaving White with little more then the potential to cause some havoc queen-side.
Playing e5 and chasing off the posted knight seems to be the better bet.

If we move e5 then that can be followed up with Ng4, fxg4, Bxg2 which looks bad or have I missed something. I am playing particularly bad at the moment so it is probably the latter. 😕

It seems logical to me and there is no point whatsoever in delaying it.
Originally posted by FersbooThe difficulty with 11. e5 is that the knight can go to d5 and the d4 pawn becomes weak. After 10. ... Bb4 we had 11. Qb3, so the bishop had to go e7 as 11. e5 is a good move after 10. ... Bd6. Black's about to castle kingside. SicilianNajdorf's idea of 11. Qb3 allows us to play Rd1 and threatens black's q-side pawns. I think that either 11. Qb3 or 11. 0-0 should be played.

I don't think castling queenside is good for us. We'll face a black pawn majority there and CHESS will push those pawns since he will castle kingside. Castling kingside seems the most logical move, so I'll vote for that one, unless someone convinces me.

edit: if Amalgamut votes for 11. Qb3 it is:

11. Qb3 (1)
