All you're doing is sharing your opinion that it's true. Does the fact that you don't think the Muhammed and Gabriel story is true - something that did not originate with you - mean that you are "suppressing the true"?
@kellyjay saidTo claim that I am "suppressing the truth" of things you hold to be true because of your religious beliefs when I do not hold those religious beliefs is sheer nonsense and places a question mark over the legitimacy over everything you claim to be "true" along with whatever ridiculous little bits of circular logic and sophistry you use to prop those claims up with.
Can not surpress what isn’t within.
Yes, so you happen to believe that Jesus Christ has "forgiven" your "sins" - by getting himself exectuted - because you are a Christian. To assert that I - an atheist - am "suppressing" this "truth" is ludicrous, KellyJay.
It's as if you have never interacted with an atheist and you cannot comprehend what 'not being a Christian' means.
@fmf saidIf you know it and you are doing all you can to hide from it that is suppressing it.

If you don't have a stinking clue what someone else is talking about, that isn't
suppressing it, that is not knowing.
@kellyjay saidTo claim that I, as an atheist, am "suppressing the truth" of your theistic beliefs, is totally ridiculous, KellyJay, however much you may pout or parse. Of course I know what you are talking about. Just because you talk about it does not make it "true". Just because I don't believe the stuff you believe does not mean I am "suppressing" the "truth".

@philokalia saidHe is asking that of Kellyjay - don't be so stupid (because I know you aren't)
What do you mean?
@wolfgang59 saidPhilokalia is not posting in good faith.

@fmf saidNothing about you specifically makes me think that, its scripture. God has revealed

himself to us all and none of us will be with excuse. Your denying it here you can
do, and nothing I can say, or do will matter, but when the time comes all that has
been hidden will be revealed and the truth will speak for itself.
Romans 1:20
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
The crying shame it the greatest thing we can do is search Him out, find Him and
still seek Him to get to know Him. He is the best part of life, and many will miss
Him, even many who claim the name now, because they didn't move towards God
they got religion and missed out on God, failing to take it beyond a matter of
proper textual understanding to a relationship with God.
Romans 2:5
But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.
Missing this isn't good!
@kellyjay saidYou seem to keep forgetting, I am not a Christian. Nor am I a Jew. Or a Muslim. Or a Hindu, for that matter. If I thought "God" had revealed Himself to me through any of those religious traditions then I would no doubt be religious.

You keep wittering on about how I am "denying" the "truth" and making "excuses" and "suppressing" something. This is how you talk to a non-believer? sonship once told me he'd rather die than have my mindmap.
Well, of course, I wouldn't go anywhere nearly so far as that to express my disapproval of your pattern of thinking and the effect of your religion on your communication skills, but I certainly don't want to emulate you.
And this thing about you that I don't want to emulate; presumably it's the "Jesus" effect that your ideology has on you.
@kellyjay saidWell, as I have told you before: I have no regrets about the years I spent as a Christian. I feel pretty positive about it. I have plenty of insight into why people like you cling to the hopes and consolation that it affords you.

@fmf saidIt doesn’t matter what you call yourself, what faith you cling to, or reject, all of God’s creation will be called into account. No one will be able to refute the truth, if God has revealed truth to us then we say that isn’t truth I know better, than guilt will remain for rejecting truth with a lie.

Don’t forget who God is, Creator, All knowing, timeless, everywhere at once, there isn’t a spect no matter how small He isn’t giving His full attention to, how much more us?
Knowing our condition that we were without hope dead in our sins He acted to save us. We either turn towards Him for the salvation He won for us, or despise it, rejecting because we want nothing to do with Him.
He has given us the choice, the universe speaks volumes but many refuse to acknowledge Him, all who do will be without excuse.
@fmf saidShame you missed God when you were claiming to be a Christian.
