@sonship saidBut it would not be the "Intelligent Scientists" producing life.
I said that by intelligent scientists producing life from non-living material they would have demonstrated that previous life intelligently produced subsequent life.
That is hardly an argument to strengthen atheism. It would be closer to intelligent design and therefore be closer to theism.
If you disagree, explain why you do.
They would just be setting up the conditions.
Conditions which would have happened naturally.
Where is the design?

I think the incoherent and inconsistent things I find in the dogma that you recite here are more substantial than can be dismissed by calling it "a fly buzzing around". It's a debate and discussion forum, KellyJay; engaging people you disagree with is par for the course.
carried on and on, if you want to engage someone and they tell you no, take the
hint, stop being an a$$ about it.

@kellyjay saidI am not a believer. I don't profess Christian faith. I used to believe but I lost my faith. Therefore, I don't think I have "turned from" anyone. I don't believe that I was "made" by the god figure that you promote here in this community.
You are a made by God who is your creator if you admit it or not. Turning from Him
is what you have done, and you define yourself by that.

@kellyjay saidI haven't "pissed" on anyone. I simply lost my faith and stopped believing. I haven't "pissed" on anyone or anything. I am not "pissing" on Islam or Judaism or Hinduism either, despite not being adherents of those religions. Not being a member of your religion does not involve me "pissing" on anyone. Your metaphor indicates that you lack understanding of what loss of faith is.
Jesus Christ.
@kellyjay saidIt's a debate and discussion forum, KellyJay. You are making claims in a public space. I am an agnostic atheist and I don't think there has been a credible revelation by any supernatural creator being.

Having said that, as I have explained many times before, I think that the universe, nature and human nature are some of the strongest pieces of evidence that all believers in a creator beings have got. I am an atheist and I can state this - you are religious, and yet you can't. It seems odd.
I never asked you to "defend someone else's beliefs". You have made that up. I was just asking you about your attitude to the "evidence" that you cite. It turns out your perception of that "evidence" does not amount to much. You can only see it through the prism of your own religion. That demotes you and your mindmap, I think.

@kellyjay saidI believe Jesus was a man who died 2,000 years ago. I am not "pissing" on him at all. Not subscribing to your ideology is not me "pissing" on someone. I don't believe that Muhammed met and received instructions from Gabriel in a cave but that does not mean I am "pissing" on Muhammed.
Jesus Christ.

Here is one of my current beliefs: I think that the universe, nature and human nature are some of the strongest pieces of evidence that all believers in a creator beings have got. I am an atheist and I can state this - you are a theist, and yet you can't.
You sidestepped this current belief of mine which engages you about your current belief - and went back to your hackneyed "your Christian past" riff yet again.
Just go with your FMF-is-lying riff, and be done with it, I don't mind.
But it seems a strange way for you to erect a fence around your own current beliefs on a debate and discussion forum.

@kellyjay saidI am a non-believer, KellyJay. I lost my faith. I no longer subscribe to an ideology centred on Jesus Christ. I don't see him in the way you do. I don't believe he sacrificed himself for either of us. I haven't "turned on" him. I am not "attempting to keep others from him", I am simply sharing my atheistic perspective.
If you were ever a Christian, Jesus Christ should have been your first love who you

Himself for us all.

@kellyjay saidThere's no need to question my past beliefs non-stop or to discuss my life because you know I am not interested. I am, however, happy to simply discuss my current beliefs. There is no door that you need to open to the Christian years in my life. I post here as an agnostic atheist.

@fmf saidI don’t mind sharing what I believe, but how things promote or relate to other religions I don’t care. So being repeatedly asked about something you were told I am not going to discuss is simply harassing and it doesn’t matter what your intentions or desires are.
