I am guessing if you are to have the benefits of the gift you need to accept it?

A person accepts this gift of God by pleasing God. God is pleased when people are DOERS and not hearers / talkers only.

Therefore the typical doctrine of Christians that all you have to do is to profess a belief or claim to have faith in Christ, is a flawed doctrine.

Jesus Christ spent His entire ministry preaching about good works and righteousness. Yet many Christians now claim that good works is useless and nobody is righteous. Christ will judge.

When did I say all you have to do is profess belief? If you recall I believe that faith without works is dead. All I am saying is that faith is just as important. You claim that only good works are enough.

Both faith and good works are the best [ those with these qualities form the elect of God]
Faith alone is not good, useless and dead [ these will end up in eternal damnation]
Good works alone is acceptable. [these will also be called to the Kingdom of God - So says Jesus Christ].

You want to argue .. argue with Christ.

Ephesians 2:8,9

For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.

At least it might cause some people not to do bad things. It still is advice coming from humans aimed at humans, no god involved. They are just words. Period.

Jesus died for the sins of all people. Never said all sins were covered.

If people accept Jesus Christ, at that point they are cleansed of sin and are supposed to change and live acceptably. However if they continue with sin, then there comes a point when God will say enough is enough.

Not all sins are covered.
So Jesus died for the sins of all people, except a certain few whose sins are not covered?

I accept Jesus' words as well as the rest of the Bible your words I have issue with.

I guess you don't hold a point of view on anything and never defend things you feel are
very important?

So it isn't a gift of God, it is an earned outcome?

A gift from a rich uncle of say a BMW, remains a gift [undeserved] regardless of what you do with it.
You can make use of it by filling it with gas and driving it
Or you can choose to just stare at it all day.

That is using the gift yes, but you are talking about earning it. I've always maintained we
need to follow the Spirit and do the works that God gives us to do, but in that doing we are
not earning our salvation. You are saying two things at the same time and they do not
line up with each other. You've said Jesus' has died for all our sin so it doesn't matter what
we believe, yet at the same time some sins according to you means we have sinned to
much and God holds us too account, then will punish us for them. Sort of hard to have all
sins paid and yet hold any against anyone for anyone for any reason.

If we were given a BMW and could not afford the insurance, couldn't afford the gas, we
could not use it. Wouldn't be much of a gift if that were the case, but with God its all taken
care of. With God He by His Spirit gives us His Spirit so we can walkout our life with Him
we are not on our own.

Nonsense. The BMW remains a gift. Its up to the receiver to utilize it or not. The gift of God is the death of Jesus which cancelled the curse of the sin of Adam which brought death to all of mankind. The gift is an opportunity for eternal life, a hope of eternal life. It is not a guarantee that one can continue in sin and still benefit from this gift. If one continues in righteousness and pleases God then eternal life will be granted. Christ will judge who qualifies.
