@ghost-of-a-duke saidPeople who recognize the existence of evil as a force apart from the actions of people aren’t blameless when they succumb to it.
I think it's human nature to personify evil as it provides something tangible to blame.
In fact they’re more to be blamed ‘cause they know how to avoid it

@rajk999 saidBelievers in the Trinity have God talking to Himself:
Jesus could have been talking to himself. He was human
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.(James 1:13-15 KJV)
"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

@pb1022 saidWhy are you responding to all my posts when I have specifically asked you not to?

I find your posts inane and often nonsensical. I am not interested in communicating with you. Get lost.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidThankfully that doctrine is rubbish.
Believers in the Trinity have God talking to Himself:
"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou still don’t get that God is comprised of three separate entities?
Believers in the Trinity have God talking to Himself:
"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
You still don’t get that Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry and crucifixion, did not have the same stature as before He was born of the Virgin Mary?
“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.”
(Hebrews 2:9)
“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
(John 17:5)

@ghost-of-a-duke saidThat misconception was cleared up when Paul said nobody is going to be able to blame any devil for their sins. Their sins are all theirs and they will face the consequences.

And I find your posts in this forum to be quite inconsistent with someone who has a degree in theology.
Are you going to object to the “talking snake” next?
You don’t have to communicate with me. And your opinion of me means nothing to me.

@pb1022 saidI forgot, you are an American. You people pat the stupid dunce troublemaking kid on the back and give him a gold star and tell him he is doing great, and think that is love.
You think saying Jesus could have been talking to Himself is a serious response?
Come on lol
As for the “full of hate” part, well, when you call people “dummy” and “fake Christian” and say they’re going to hell, that ain’t love, pardner
Well I use the bible's definition of love, not the American's. Love is charity, and that is what Jesus wants from people.
The Good Samaritans of the world who pick up Christ when he needs help are the ones Christ will remember and who He will welcome in the Kingdom of God.
As for your type ... well .... here is a gold star, you did great..

@rajk999 saidNot if their sins have been forgiven by Jesus Christ.
That misconception was cleared up when Paul said nobody is going to be able to blame any devil for their sins. Their sins are all theirs and they will face the consequences.
Oh, they’ll have to account for their behavior on earth but it won’t affect their salvation.
How many times did Jesus Christ forgive sins during His earthly ministry? And how many times did He say one’s faith had saved them and one’s faith had made them whole?
How many times did Jesus talk about the importance of faith? You never talk about it.

@rajk999 saidYou’re once again - and once again falsely - claiming that Christians who believe we are saved by Grace through faith don’t think good works and trying our best to obey the commandments are important.

You apparently can’t envision anyone doing good works or obeying the commandments without the threat of hell hanging over them.
You apparently can’t envision anyone doing good works or obeying the commandments out of love for God and love for their neighbor.
Maybe because you have neither.

@rajk999 saidThat's the beautiful thing about atheism. There is no original sin or personification of evil to blame for our predicament. (Temptation or otherwise). We are each responsible for our actions and the consequences of those actions, or lack thereof.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidAnd that is exactly what Jesus explained in detail in Matt 25. But Christians say they have faith, and therefore they have the Holy Spirit, they are saved they have eternal life. No consequences for sin.
