Bible is not given to private interpretation, either you are right, or your not. If that is all that
is going on here, you owe a great deal of people here a great big "I'm sorry", they were just
interpreting scripture different than you, they are not really wrong or in error.
Ok .. well Im right. End of story. Now get over it.

People strongly feel they are OWED this and OWED that.
People strongly feel that their DUE is at a certain level but what they GET is far below what they are due.

Forbearance is perhaps the most important Christian virtue. It is an ability to be happy in God with less than your due.

One can rejoice in the Lord.
One does not rejoice in his situation.
One does not rejoice in her problems.
But one rejoices in the Lord in her problems.

Christ is near. And in spite of me not receiving what I think is my due, I can be happy in Christ. This is forbearance. And to be an "enemy of the cross of Christ" is firstly to have no forbearance in Christ.

Self pity - a lack of forbearance in Christ.
Anger - a lack of forbearance in Christ.
Grudges - a lack of forbearance in Christ.
Unforgiveness - a shortage of forbearance in Christ.
Anoyances - little forbearance.
Strife, division, sectarian spirit, grumbling, murmuring, anxiety - all shortages of forbearance in Christ.

All this germs are indications that we need to have a change in our attitude towards the cross of Christ. We need to suffer with Him and be happy that He is near. He is in our spirit if we are born again.

Forbearance again, is to be in the enjoyment of Christ in spite of the fact that our circumstances are delivering to us less than our due.

It certainly is better than treating the Bible like a comic strip.

The post that was quoted here has been removed
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." -- 1 Corinthians 13:11

Some do, some don't.

When one begins to understand as an adult, then one doesn't need to be babied in their education any longer.

Unfortunately, some do "get it" and some don't.

The wonderful thing - If you bear the cross of Christ eventually one day the cross of Christ will bear you.

I think the truth of the Gospel and being a Christian is somewhere in between as the bible teaches faith is what saves one or at least an "active" believing in Jesus / God and what He has already done on the cross.....the word active being key......we can't dismiss the part in the Book of James where it says this: James 1:26-27 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. ......there has to a practical real world application of ones faith in Christ and whether it is a prerequisite for salvation or not I guess we can continue to debate that but I do think Christians should be different and shun sin and live lives to honor God

In Christ is our only hope, we cannot be good enough, we cannot trust our righteousness
before God. If we were to attempt to do that we would be on a constant roller coaster ride
that was completely dependent upon our feelings that day. If we thought we were doing
good than we are right, if we didn't we would be questioning everything about our walk
God.

Our walk with God is on a sure foundation of Christ and not our works, so when we are
tempted we need to be going to Him, not just acquiescence in thinking we are nothing
more than sinners who sin. If we sin we have an savior, we do need to strive to draw
close to God, live in Him and His Word in us. He saves, He gives us His Spirit to live
out lives in Him free from the bondage we find ourselves in.

Striving to do this in our own strength and not in God's Spirit is a sure place to fail and
come up short. God calls us, God gives us faith, God gives His grace, God leads us,
and will never forsake us so in Him is the only safe place to be in this life, no matter what
this life is sending our way, good or bad!

Are you people so indoctrinated that you cannot see the truth?

The truth of the Gospel is that Christ died for the sins of mankind and was resurrected so that man can have eternal life. This is what is called saved by grace.

Being a Christian involves a promise to follow Christ. Not everyone that professes faith in Christ will get this eternal life, because not all Christians take this promise seriously as they promise with their mouth but their actions are sinful. Those Christians who continue a sinful worldly greedy selfish lives will not get eternal life.

Christ, Paul, James, John, Peter says these things a thousand times.

You should read the Bible, it is clear that those that are saved by God's grace are saved
by faith, which is a gift of God so we can do the works of God.

And you need to read and UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS.

The Bible says clearly in no uncertain terms the following:
- A man is saved by Gods grace from the curse of Adams Sin or sin in the flesh
- A man must profess his faith in Christ
- A man must follow after righteousness and good works.
- Eternal life is granted by Christ at his return to the good and faithful servants.
- Christians who continue with a sinful worldly life will not get eternal life.

Not all professing faith do the works of God as you incessantly and falsely state. Only God know who does His works .. not you or me or sonship or Watchman Nee.

One probably finds it difficult to do as you say simply because it's evident that you don't even do what you say.

One might expect that following Christ's commandments means ALL of them, not just the ones YOU like.

Case and point once one becomes saved or becomes a Christian... Then they sin let's say one time are they then condemned by God? Do they lose their salvation? If this be so then no one can be saved as All fall short and sin even individuals trying to live a life pleasing to God

The answer to your question is in the opening post of this thread. Anyway I have already realised, since our last discussion when you referred to me as a legalistic Pharisee and that I have no joy. that people like you do not like the truth. You rather hear sweet comforting lies. To be honest I dont know what joy Christians like you get when you wallow in false teachings .. what joy is that? And you have no excuse since you fully understand the teachings of Christ and the Apostles but you choose rather to ignore it.
