@fmf saidIf all truth is subjective, it depends on you. Your foundation for all truth has you as its defining filter. If this is how you look at it all, everyone will be no different, regardless of what they think or say.
Attaining what "truth" can be framed as an objective of a life "quest", then, KellyJay, to your way of thinking?

@kellyjay saidWhat do you mean, "everyone will be no different"? When it comes to the exact composition and meaning of life's "quest", happiness, one's subjective opinions about the great unknown things, and what psychological framework one uses to pursue or experience happiness, everyone is different.

@fmf saidIt looks like this escaped your notice; what I believe as truth isn't even part of the question, only what is. I'm not framing anything, and I'm not pushing a point of view, simply asking a question; all of this "YOUR" garbage is all you, not me.
According to your "foundation", what "truth" can be framed as the objective of YOUR life "quest"?
@divegeester saidIt only shows that you cannot speak to anything only about people; in the OP, there wasn't a doctrine presented, dogma, religious, or scientific truth, just the question of truth, and you couldn't grasp that! That went right over your head and more than likely still is. You have to have a motive to assault, something about someone to speak about, a simple topic, not you.
How is that corner which you’ve painted yourself into?

@kellyjay saidIf you can't think of any "truths" that are antithetical to "happiness", just as examples, then doesn't that rather undermine the traction of your "simply asking a question" OP [please note I have not called it "garbage"]? How can anyone answer a question about their life "quest" without it being personal ~ with a personal foundation, a personal framing, and a personal point of view?

@kellyjay saidPerhaps the enquiries about your angle with this OP are going "right over your head"? If the kinds of "truth" you want to discuss are not doctrinal, dogmatic, religious, or scientific, what do you have in mind?

"Happiness" on one hand: home, family, job, hobbies, learning, teaching, loving and being loved etc.
"Truth" on the other hand: what though? The truth of the bank balance, the truth of the electricity bill, the truth of the expense of health care, the truth of what? What "truths" do you envisage forming a life "quest"? If you can't give any examples to flesh out your OP, then what is it you want to discuss?
@fmf saidIt was a question about truth and happiness, any truth, any happiness; I wasn't attempting to get specific.

@kellyjay saidWell, you know my answer. I see it as a false dichotomy. Perhaps I ought not to attempt to get any more specific than that as you seem to want to rule out any personal testimony!
