I’m getting nowhere Captain Evasive, aka KellyJay in trying to get his understanding of the trinity so I can only assume he has no understanding of it. So I’m going to deconstruct the silly doctrine here myself.

What I know so far:
- According to Kelly the trinity is made of THREE distinct “beings” know as the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit
- According to sonship there is only ONE spirit in the trinity.

Now presumably this ONE spirit is in fact the third being in the trinity called, The Holy Spirit. The name is the clue. The Holy Spirit is a “distinct” being from the Father and the son and therefore is this ONE spirit.

Hmm

What about the “Father” so he cannot be a spirit as the ONE spirt is already accounted for. So what is he made of. We don’t know.

And what about the 2nd being of the trinity, the son? He is called Jesus and the bible talks about the “spirit of Jesus”. But the ONE spirit of the trinity is already accounted for and as Jesus is a distinct being, then like the Father, the son cannot be a spirt either. One wonders what the son is then because if he is eternal then he existed before his own flesh was conceived in Mary. But what did he consist of in eternity is not spirit. Ectoplasm perhaps.

KellyJay has chastised me for asserting that his position is that these THREE beings each share the ONE spirit. But we have already identified that The Holy Spirt IS the ONE spirit of the trinity and as all THREE of the beings are distinct perhaps KellyJay is right to chastise me.

So do KellyJay and sonship agree on there only being ONE spirit in the trinity? who can tell as both are reluctant to discuss these questions forthrightly. We can see why!

One God made of THREE distinct “beings” sharing ONE spirit which is the THIRD of these distinct beings.

It’s total nonsense of course, convoluted, pagan, utter rubbish. Which is why KellyJay and sonship won’t answer straight questions about it

Is there an alternative?
Yes of course! Hear oh Israel the Lord you god is ONE. ONE being, ONE spirit, manifested in different forms.

This is not the slam dunk for Modalism you imagine.
So let's put some tough questions to you.

John 6:38 - "For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me."

Did Jesus come down from heaven to do His own will or the will of Someone else?

Not so easy is it Unitarian guy?

Trinity Boy? I'll pretend I didn't just experience some genuine hostility at my traditional Christian faith, but to answer your question - I don't know how many spirits there are in the trinity. I'm just a common earth-bound mortal - and a believer.

Another question to the supposed slam dunk Modalist who mocks trinity belief:

"Jesus therefore answered them and said, My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me." (John 7:16)

Did Jesus come with His own teaching or one that was not His own but of Someone Else's who sent Him?

You can reach for the Shema but its not so easy to answer. Is it?

HIs own teaching or Another's teaching Who SENT Him with it ?

He believes in one god, who sends himself places, keeps secrets from himself, tells
himself to do things, then directs himself to direct himself to do other things, all while
pretending to be the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Not that easy is it?

Mr. Shema ? Hear Oh Israel the Lord is one . . . etc.
What else does God's word say with this?

"He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of Him who sent Him, this One is true, and unrighteousness is not in Him." (John 7:18)

Jesus speak from Himself to seek His own glory?
OR Jesus spoke for the glory of Another Who sent Him?

How many "persons" are involved - two or only one?

"From where this totally silly three-one concept" the Unitarians scoffs confidently.
Well, from places like John 7:18.

The confident unitarian scoffs probably "Oh, if only I had been there. I would have straightened those Christians out real quick. Just go to the Shema about Hear O Israel God is one . . . Piece of cake. What's the problem? "

Piece of cake huh?

Why you be so proud like "They all missed it. O Israel the Lord your God is ONE ONE ONE"

Amen, God is one.
Now this crowd knew about the "Hear O Israel the Lord is one . . . "

"The Jews then said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham? Jesus said to them, Truly, truly I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I am.

So they picked up stones to thow at Him, but Jesus was hidden and went out of the temple." (John 8:58,59)

They knew about "Hear O Israel, Yahweh is one God" and the got what this man was saying. They immediately sought to execute him with stoning from blaspheming making Himself the I AM THAT I AM of account of Exodus and Moses meeting God.

But not only said He was God, He lived as He was God.

No you're not.
You're not going to make "silly" the very words of God.

Your problem is God is a complex social Being, Father, Son, Holy Spirit. So the answer to your question is One if you are looking at God, or three if you are looking at the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

When you think about the Holy Spirit coming into God’s people, do those with God in them only get a percentage of God or all of God?

Have you tried sincerely asking God for the answer?
