And who gets to say, definitively, what is true and untrue?
Well, when I speak about my perspective on this matter, I am only speaking for myself. Isn't it the same for you?

So, he is not delusional to believe in angels but only becomes delusional if he says he has encountered one? Is that really your position?
Why are you asking me the same question again?

If they claim to have met them and spoken to them, yes.
Are all theists who claim to have a divine encounter also delusional?

I don't think you have thought this through.
I don't think you have thought through the price you are paying by contorting yourself in order to "have someone's back".

I'd say so. Unless they can provide evidence that proves that the encounter was real and true in an objective sense.

Looking for clarity.

So Dive is not delusional to believe in angels but only becomes delusional if he says he has encountered one? Is that really your position?

To recap. Christians who believe they have had encounters with angels, or indeed God Himself are delusional in your book, but it is not ok to describe biblical accounts like the garden of Eden as fairy tales? Have I got that right?

But is he currently delusional for believing in angels? That is the part of the question you dodged. (With good reason).

If he believes in angels it logically follows that he might encounter one.

I don't use the words "delusional" and "fairy tales" when discussing theism with believers because I don't think it serves the discourse well.

I didn't dodge it. If he believes that angels are real, then I think it is a delusion.

The existence of angels is a critical part of Christianity with them playing significant roles in key biblical events. So you 'are' using words like delusional when referring to theistic beliefs.

Either way, from my perspective, if he believes that angels are real or he believes he has interacted with them - both - are delusional beliefs.

But I am in a discourse with you - not a theist - and you, like me, believe that angels don't exist.

Please take note of this Dive. If Suzianne is indeed delusional, FMF thinks you share the same delusion.
