Sorry Kelly but you clearly have that back to front. It is 'the text' that doesn't line up with evidenced data of our evolution.

It merely confirms that the writer of Genesis was unaware of our true origin as a species.
Or he was well aware and modern man is deceived.

What do you think this sentence of yours means? You believe babies are unaware of "the divine"?
I believe that they are aware of the divine.

If you call being aware of the divine religious affiliation yes.
This is pure speculation.

We are “born into sin” and “the heart of a child is bound up with folly” and “the heart of man is evil beyond compare” and all unbelievers will be tortured in hell for eternity”

What scriptural evidence do you have that a person born into this dogmatic framework who dies before being saved will not go to hell?

You mean you have made up this belief in your head.

KellyJay, no one goes to hell because it doesn’t really exit. It’s a methaphor, symbolism. God is a god of eternal mercy.

To what evidence are you referring to? Quite a statement are you going to provide this, or just claim it is out there somewhere and I have to trust you?

Then why did you say "I see no reason to doubt that they are unaware of the Divine"?

I don't think I need to go over this all day.

I knew of Romans1009.
I recall not particularly enjoying all his exchanges.
I recall either wanting to send him a PM or maybe doing it.

I know nothing about the details of his being banned.

If you don't believe me, believe about it whatever you need to believe.

Oh, one more thing. I don't try to hold you responsible to know all about every rude Atheist that posts here.

What "religious affiliations"? Hinduism, Islam, Judaism? You used the term "religious affiliation". Christianity? Sikhism?

@KellyJay

He calls Watchman Nee's ministry comics.

Now if I react with some choice words about the worth of his "ministry" he'll go whining for the next 18 months reminding me again and again how HE was slighted.

Earlier you said "I have no idea whatsoever of what you are talking about" when Romans1009's posting was mentioned.

Who is trying "to hold you responsible for" Romans1009's creepy trolling?

As you well know, John the Baptist was an exception as he was filled with the spirit from his mother’s womb. Stop being dishonest.

Luke 1:15
“He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he (john the bapsitist) will be great in the sight of the Lord. He shall never take wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb.”

According to the versions of your own dogma, babies are born into original sin and exhibit the same characteristics as the rest of us which you frequently tell us about. Such as an evil heart, rotten core, full of sin etc and so forth.

You do believe in original sin don’t you?
