@ghost-of-a-duke saidOr he was well aware and modern man is deceived.
Sorry Kelly but you clearly have that back to front. It is 'the text' that doesn't line up with evidenced data of our evolution.
It merely confirms that the writer of Genesis was unaware of our true origin as a species.
@kellyjay saidThis is pure speculation.
If you call being aware of the divine religious affiliation yes.
We are “born into sin” and “the heart of a child is bound up with folly” and “the heart of man is evil beyond compare” and all unbelievers will be tortured in hell for eternity”
What scriptural evidence do you have that a person born into this dogmatic framework who dies before being saved will not go to hell?

@ghost-of-a-duke saidTo what evidence are you referring to? Quite a statement are you going to provide this, or just claim it is out there somewhere and I have to trust you?

@FMF
I don't think I need to go over this all day.
I knew of Romans1009.
I recall not particularly enjoying all his exchanges.
I recall either wanting to send him a PM or maybe doing it.
I know nothing about the details of his being banned.
If you don't believe me, believe about it whatever you need to believe.
Oh, one more thing. I don't try to hold you responsible to know all about every rude Atheist that posts here.
@divegeester saidThus says dive, not the Word of the Lord.
KellyJay, no one goes to hell because it doesn’t really exit. It’s a methaphor, symbolism. God is a god of eternal mercy.

@sonship saidEarlier you said "I have no idea whatsoever of what you are talking about" when Romans1009's posting was mentioned.

@kellyjay saidAs you well know, John the Baptist was an exception as he was filled with the spirit from his mother’s womb. Stop being dishonest.
Thus says dive, not the Word of the Lord.
Luke 1:15
“He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he (john the bapsitist) will be great in the sight of the Lord. He shall never take wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb.”
According to the versions of your own dogma, babies are born into original sin and exhibit the same characteristics as the rest of us which you frequently tell us about. Such as an evil heart, rotten core, full of sin etc and so forth.
You do believe in original sin don’t you?
