Post script to my earlier post...
I believe that God is ultimately supreme in all things. What we experience is his will. He is therefore accountable and I respectfully hold him to that account. I do note that in Christian lore he has held himself accountable and paid the price, personally, by becoming human and doing what he did.
The whole story, while intriguing, has a huge element of the ridiculous and unbelievableness about it. That I think is one of the problems Christianity has. Add in eternal hell, torture for unbelievers, trinities and doctrinal conditions and the whole concept becomes laughable.
Nevertheless here I am, an argumentative Christian heretic on the Internet.
@divegeester saidI have more reasons why Christianity has created atheists... should I not post them ?
At ease solider....
@ghost-of-a-duke saidIt is ultimately the bible itself that's at the heart of the matter. Does one need to believe everything in it that supposedly "knows" God's character, which includes things like "all loving"?
Personally, I could never believe in something that wasn't concordant with my reasoning.
Welcome back.
Do we really know God? I doubt it.
I don't know why innocent children suffer, but I'm certain that suffering is required for some adults to make positive changes to their character.
......and thank you.

@sonship saidLet me see. Jesus guy comes to Earth with the theoretical ability to heal all and do anything he wishes to help or destroy people.
@caissad4
I suddenly feel more moral than the Christian god is portrayed.
So on a scale of say 1 to 10 with 10 being the most moral, and 1 being the least, where would you put Jesus Christ and where would you put yourself ?
He helps a few and leaves the rest to suffer.
Not very moral you must admit.
Doesn't condemn slavery.
Not very moral you must admit.
As for myself I already stated what I would do.
Seems slightly more moral than your Jesus guy.
I condemn slavery openly.
Seems slightly more moral than your Jesus guy.
If your holy, holy book represents the actions and attitudes your god and/or Jesus guy is purported to possess then I can say that I am most probably more moral.
Heck, most people are more moral than the depiction of your god and/or Jesus guy.

You could begin by showing your more substantial morality in comparison to Jesus Christ by directly answering the QUESTION.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the MOST moral and 1 being the LEAST where are YOU on that scale as compared to Jesus Christ ?
caissad4,
It appears like you don't want to walk into an adverse situation Caissad4.

If you don't feel comfortable to answer this question concerning morality how about the virtue of courage.
Where is your level of courage as compared to that of Jesus on the same kind of scale?

Are your posts the "Reasons for disbelief in the Christian God" ?
Please consult one of your cult leaders and respond.
People like you are yet another reason for disbelief in your manmade god.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidOk, so we have discovered God does not like ants or people.
1. As has been argued by philosophers before me, God can not be both omnipotent and perfectly loving. - Take for example an infant dying from a terminal disease. God either can't or won't intervene. If he 'cannot' then He is not omnipotent, and if he 'will not' then He is not perfectly loving. With the existence of such suffering of the innocent, it is impossible for ...[text shortened]... hat the cycle could continue. - Why would an all loving God design and create such a thing?!
