@chaney3 saidMany Christian's believe God's love is an all-consuming fire and that sinful creatures cannot exist in His presence. Those who elect to reject salvation through their free will are eternally destroyed because of the inherent incompatibility of sin with God's holy character. (Wiki).
She said that?
It's not a Christian belief, so I have doubts about that.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidAll Christians are sinful creatures, so techically according to that definition, nobody 'wins'.

@suzianne saidYou either accept it or you don't, that was my question to you! So Jesus is not the Way, the truth, and the Life so that no one came come to the Father but through Him, you think Jesus lied?
In the end, isn't what I believe important only to me?
No, I believe there is only one way to God, and the name of my Messiah is Jesus.
Other messiahs have other names.
You believe there are other Messiahs not just Jesus, are there other gods people go to beside the God of the Bible as there are other messiahs?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidThose that think they are good enough or have to work for it do.
Christians don't reject salvation.
@kellyjay saidThere are two ways to interpret your statement

...Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the Life so that no one came come to the Father but through Him,
1. The Mouth Worshipers Way - profess that you believe in Jesus with your mouth and you will get eternal life.
2. The Way of True Followers - Keep the commandments of Jesus and you will get eternal life.
Your way is #1 and it is the way of the foolish man. #2 is the way of the wise man.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
(Matthew 7:24-27 KJV)
Whoever hears Christ and keeps his commandments is wise.
All others are fools
@kellyjay saidOn another thread a little while ago you claimed to believe that it is possible to loose one’s salvation. At the time I asked how this could happen, under what circumstances etc, but you were pouting with me and declined to answer.
Those that think they are good enough or have to work for it do.
Will you explain now, or will this be more nose-in-the-air-time?

@bigdoggproblem saidLol you are such a hypocrite if you claim we should respect other's beliefs.
I read this, from Suzianne, in another thread, and felt like this quote ought to be the official anthem of this forum:
"Not everyone's spirituality is based on Jesus or even God.
Consider these lyrics:
"You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime you just might find
Y ...[text shortened]... what we need.
And as hard as this is for you to comprehend, this is not the same for everybody.

@rajk999 saidProfessing our works get us to God ignoring God's grace, and refusing to acknowledge Jesus' Words that say if we deny Him before man, He will deny us before the Father. That interpretation does away the truth of scripture as it is to make it fit into a works doctrine of earning our way to God by doing enough good works.

Our grasp of scripture is not trying to make it fit what we want it to say, but why was it written, what the author's intent was. If we seek interpretations of it to fit our desires, we are not seeking the truth of scripture, but the justification of our desires. Scripture is either read seeking the author's intent or our desires.
Jesus' Words either mean what they say or not! To change them to our liking that voids any real meaning of His Word. Alter the meaning, dispels any real meaning of the Word, and it can corrupt other scripture that should in line with God's truth. The scripture must line up with all other scripture, not just the ones we like.

This is exactly what you do. You delude yourself into believing that Jesus didn't say what He explicitly states and did say what He never said. You do so because you're so self-serving that you believe that you're entitled to have God serve you instead of the other way around. Even worse, you wrap it in false humility.
