Each normal human being is born with a mind that's unwritten on, Tabula Rasa: neutral toward the words 'atheist and 'theist'. The decision point of god curiosity/consciousness has yet to occur. It's a individual decision with volition engaged.

Well that's the same old tripe you came up with last time.

How they are disposed to the word is utterly irrelevent.

Atheism is a label for people who lack a belief in gods.

Babies lack a belief in gods, therfore they are atheists.

It's just that simple.

Do you believe that the following is not true? If so, why?
Everyone's born without a belief in the existence of God(s).

Do you believe that the following is not true? If so, why?
Everyone's born without a belief in the existence of planets.

I believe you mean "Tabula Rasa". Latin for "blank slate".

I get why some blogs clearly place trigger warning messages above posts on
certain topics.

Man did that story piss me off. Right when I'm trying to wind down before bed.

I understand that it wouldn't be helpful, and why, but man would I like to beat
the crap out of that a***.

Saying crap like that has to become utterly socially unacceptable period.

I would have reported the guy to the university... but then at my university I
know there were people who would have done somehting about it... many don't
have that luxury.

And no, I absolutely would not have given him any second chance.

The body and mind of a viable newborn at the nano moment of birth is in an indeterminate developmental life chapter with alternative cognitive possibilities on the horizon. Second is deliberation over alternative possibilities; third, a volitional act of choice. "Everyone's born without a belief in the existence of God(s)." signifies ignorance not acceptance or rejection.

Should we still believe that diapered baby googlefudge was already an atheist as you have claimed?

YES! I lacked a belief in gods and thus I was an atheist.

I don't care how many fancy words you use that you clearly don't understand.
That will never change.

And I go back to my first thought which is that this is deeply depressing that
this goes on in this day and age.

I totally get why you didn't do anything, I was just saying how your tale made
me feel.

However I suspect it's because guys don't get smacked down when they make
'thoughtless comments' like that that they keep making them.

Which is why I have a zero tolerance policy to stuff like that

I've heard similar stories from women in the skeptical movement about certain
conference speakers. The word secretly goes around to avoid them...
It should be the case that the word goes to the organisers and they get dealt with.

Apparently not, we've been over this at great length... Several times.
