Your god figure is the Christian one.
No, again I don't own a god, god figure, or any other god. In your case all of your
views and the reality of your gods when you had one until now, have always been
between your ears.
That has never changed for you in your entire life, the only
thing that has changed, is your opinion nothing more. That doesn't mean you ever
got it right, only that your opinion of what is right and true about God is now
different, He you never knew, you only thought about Him.

You know how I think, not how I feel.
You "feel" certain. You "feel" that you know. You "feel" that using the word "know" to express your faith in certain codified theories about the origin of the universe makes your assertions more convincing.

How do you think the God that you worship handled this facet of human nature that you describe above?

From my perspective you do. All my posts here are from my perspective. Yours is just one god figure from the many god figures that human beings have, and have had, and will continue to have. If you were to convert to Judaism one day, your god figure would change.

In everyone's case, the "reality" of all gods for all people, regardless of which god, is between their ears.

But I am not a Christian, SecondSon. So my use of the word "god figure", from my perspective, is totally appropriate and clear. I do not subscribe to "the text of scripture", so I am not being "disingenuous" about my beliefs regarding that text and what it depicts. You don't use the word "disingenuous" correctly.
You also are failing to grasp it is not us you are belittling when you use that term
either, your lack of belief is an affront to God.

Romans 11:19-21 English Standard Version (ESV)
Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.

Your perspective, it isn't all about you as much as you attempt to make it so.

The term "god figure" does not belittle anyone. It is a neutral term. It refers to the subject of your religious ideology. It is not, from my point of view, "an affront to God". If you don't like a neutral term being applied to your ideology by someone who doesn't believe the same things as you, that's a matter for you.

Not so, but you will never know until God shows you in this life, when you repent
and turn to Him, seeking Him with all of your heart, or you die and you are
confronted with Him when all hope of reconciliation has been dried up and gone.

You said:

Different perspectives are defined by people viewing things differently, so looking at the same data or hearing what someone else says may not be enough, no matter what authorities are invoked on any given topic to alter another’s thinking.

And I asked: How do you think the God that you worship handled the facet of human nature that you describe above?
