@kellyjay saidIm demonstrating how totally alien you are from the teachings and Gospel of Christ. Watch the stark difference:
I agree that all of us are sinners,
I agree all sin is filthy.
I agree with the statement YOU made about me that I believe that.
I was following your statement that I agree with it; if you want to push that into another context, it is meaningless and has nothing to do with the context I was commenting about when I responded.
Jesus told people to live righteously, do good works and go and sin no more, and they will have eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
Your church preaches that people are filthy sinners, they cannot stop sinning and no amount of effort on their part to live righteously and do good works will be rewarded.
@rajk999 saidI'm not the one claiming some things are true according to scripture, and in the face of text that shows it doesn't, ignore the scripture that refutes your false claims.

Are all sinners, yes or no?
It isn't a personal question because it concerns the whole human race.
Do we require Jesus to save us from our sins, is that good news?
1 John
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
@rajk999 saidUnless you are claiming we can live sinless lives, what you are suggesting is simply not taking into account the whole word of God. Do you think anyone walking the planet right now is doing it sinlessly on their power, with their righteousness?

@kellyjay saidJesus preached the [glad tidings] Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, (Luke 8:1 KJV)
Nothing of your church gospel vaguely resembles what Jesus preached.

@kellyjay saidI dont know everyone on the planet, neither am I interested in such things. You seem to be obsessed with sin so while you preach your gospel of sin, Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom and what people must do to enter. Its all about good works and righteousness which you condemn by saying nobody can do good works and live righteously.

@rajk999 saidOh, well really, what exactly did he preach that is different than the gospel my church subscribes to? What is my church, what do they preach that you can make such a claim?

@rajk999 saidYou are suggesting there is sinlessness among us, that we are all not sinners because of some good works, as if good works alone can make one righteous. I'm saying we are all sinners; I've given you scripture to back that up; you are claiming that is not true. So it is your word against what is written in the Bible. Even the quotes you presented don't make a claim; some are sinless. Jesus said no one was good, but God, and are you suggesting there are those whose righteousness by virtue of their good works are worthy of the Kingdom of God, they earned it? You don't have to know everyone to know that we all share the same failings unless you think a select few among us are perfect by the works they do; they don't need Jesus to clean them of their sins.

@Rajk999
More than 200 posts and Rajk999 still has no assurance of his salvation and is self righteously hoping for the best.
Maybe God will approve your bad mouthing of churches as your righteousness ?
More than 200 posts and Rajk999 still cannot bring himself to confess the resurrection of Jesus Christ except on some pseudo gnostic unphysical sense.
@rajk999 saidThe only thing I got out of this conversation is you don't go by the whole Bible, you have select scriptures you use, and even they don't line up the way you present them.
After 200 posts if you dont know what I believe or if I dont know what you believe then we are wasting our time.
@kellyjay saidThe whole bible ?
The only thing I got out of this conversation is you don't go by the whole Bible, you have select scriptures you use, and even they don't line up the way you present them.
This makes me laugh and you keep saying it. What exactly is the whole bible? Do you even know? Which bible. There are many
- the one used by the early patriarchs
- the one used by Christ
- the one used by the Apostles
- the one used by the early church
- the one used in the 18th century
- the one used now by the Catholic Church
- the one used now by the Protestant Churches
- The one used by the JWs
- the one used by the SDAs
and there are dozens more, and they are all different, except for one thing... what Jesus said about living righteously and doing good works. God made sure that that doctrine was never corrupted and it is in all the bibles
When you stand before Christ on judgment day it is either you a sheep who did good works and you get eternal life or you are a goat who did nothing and you get damnation.. Your church preaches a do nothing doctrine and that means you are heading for damnation.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
@kellyjay saidI suspect there will be many goats on the day of judgment quoting that passage to Christ when he tells them Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. (Matthew 25:41-43 KJV)
